The Crossfield Fire
Department is pleased
to announce the arrival of a new fire truck to our fleet that we
are currently running. With the arrival of the new truck, this
will replace a 30 year old piece of equipment and give us a
response room for 6 fire fighters.
This truck was funded by grant monies, and revenue from the
calls that we respond to.
We are fortunate to have this new piece of equipment as we
are finding ourselves responding to over 300 calls a year and
many of these calls are one on top of another. Crossfield Fire
Department is fortunate to have this equipment to provide the
fire protection service to our community within the town and
our rural coverage to the MD of Rockyview.

Takes Shape
AIRDRIE, ALBERTA – Airdrie and area sportsmen and
women now have a place to call home! The members of the
newly formed Airdrie Hunting & Fishing Association recently
held a vote for their first President and Vice President.
Led by Wes David, President and Kerry Olsen, Vice
President, a passionate group of dedicated outdoor enthusiasts
have formed the AHFA. “Our focus is on the environment and
education for the responsible enjoyment of the outdoors.” said
member Scott Pulvermacher. “We have members from Airdrie
and area and even some from Calgary and we are all excited
to unite and work towards this common goal.”
“We’re really just simply a group of like minded folks who
have organized to give back to the community and protect the
natural resources we are so passionate about,” added
Pulvermacher. “We have some excellent plans for sharing our
experiences and educating those interested in these pursuits as
well as cleaning up Nose Creek and Dewitt’s Pond and other
activities. Not to mention just great camaraderie.”
