Summer is rapidly coming to close, but don’t forget we
have one more important outdoor event left. Our
Versatility weekend, originally displaced from
Memorial Day, then postponed from Labor Day, will
take place on Veteran’s Day Weekend, Nov 10th, 11th
and 12th. We’ll be straight racing on Friday (which is a
holiday for school’s and some other people), oval
racing and fun matching on Saturday, and lure coursing
on Sunday. We’ll need as many club members to come
out and help on that weekend as we can muster.
There are always jobs that you can help with at the
spur of the moment. All sighthounds are welcome, and
all of them have a blast. Participating in these events is
a lot of fun, and always much more fun when the
work-load is spread. Working these events is fun too.
Being a finish line judge is the prime seat in the house,
and not difficult to learn or to do. We can always use
foul line judges, and people to help the flow go
smoothly by coordinating the paddock area.

Update on Northwest Versatility Weekend
The Versatility Weekend will have some AWSOME prizes The event will be held at Roy Polo Field, which is a favorite
location that normally draws a large entry. However, the weather will play a huge part in our entry size, I am sure. We
are going to be able to have the giant silver watering apparatus moved for us for the racing portion of the event, hopefully! We have considered renting lights to use on Saturday after the NAWRA for our fun match. We don’t have a match
judge lined up for certain yet, but some interesting names have been discussed! We have our equipment in order except
we need to order a new charging cord for the new camera. NWSGA, who really is the owner of this event, is gearing up
to help us put on the best event we can. Should be fun!!! Laurel Wilks
