FABRIC REQUIREMENTS
• Fabric 1 (White)—1 Fat Quarter
• Fabric 2 (Navy)—3/8 yard
• Fabric 3 (Medium Blue)—3/8 yard
• Fabric 4 (Dark Blue)—1/2 yard
(includes binding)
• Fusible web product—3/8 yard
• Batting—24" x 24"
• Backing—5/8 yard
CUTTING DIRECTIONS
NOTE: Apply fusible web product to
wrong side of selected fabrics, following
manufacturer’s instructions, before cutting
for fusible appliqué.
Fabric 1:
• Cut 1—12-1/2" x 12-1/2" square
Fabric 2:
• Cut 4—4-1/2" squares
• Cut 4—Fleur De Lis
Fabric 3:
• Cut 8—4-1/2" squares
Fabric 4:
• Cut 4—4-1/2" squares
• Cut 3—2-1/2" x width of fabric (WOF) strips for binding
SEWING DIRECTIONS
1. Iron fusible web to the wrong side of your appliqué fabric.
2. Cut out four Fabric #2 Fleur De Lis shapes.
3. Fuse Fleur De Lis shapes onto the Fabric #1 square as shown in the quilt photo.
4. Pin and sew together two Fabric #3 squares and one Fabric #4 square to make a side border strip. Press
seams toward Fabric #4 square. Make two strips.
5. Pin and sew side border strips to left and right sides of the appliquéd square. Press seams toward the border.
6. Pin and sew together two Fabric #3 squares, one Fabric #4 square, and two Fabric #2 squares to make a top
border strip. Repeat to make a bottom border strip. Press seams toward Fabric #3 squares.
7. Pin and sew the border strips to top and bottom of the appliquéd square. Press seams toward the border.

QUILTING AND FINISHING
1. Layer table topper with batting and backing.
2. Pin or baste layers together.
3. Quilt as desired.
4. Add Fabric #4 binding strips, mitering corners.
