The Film Consortium San Diego is dedicated to recognizing and showcasing local and visiting filmmakers, cast, crew and production companies who are producing films, commercials and new media in the San Diego region. We have grown rapidly and hold many popular events that put sponsors in front of film fans, filmmakers and film industry professionals. Our audiences are eager to celebrate and support the businesses that are helping re-invigorate a healthy and vibrant San Diego production environment. The Winter Film Showcase is a much-anticipated event where audiences will get a chance to watch the nominated films for the 2015 San Diego Film Awards and attend dozens of local film premieres. This red carpet event will be held at the beautiful Museum of Photographic Arts in Balboa Park and will hold an audience award ceremony where San Diego Film Awards nominations will be announced live at the end of the event. Sponsorships start at $1000 San Diego Film Awards is our most popular event and is in its second year. This weekend-long show was sold out in its inaugural year and is anticipated to reach a much larger audience in its second year. Held in the historic Horton Grand Theater in San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter, this Academy Awards style show features a 12-piece orchestra, a VIP cocktail hour, an exciting red carpet and interview area and distinguished guest stars and dignitaries. Awards are given to local films and filmmakers in front of a lively audience. It’s a little bit of Hollywood in San Diego! There are exciting sponsorship opportunities all weekend including the Film Awards Gala, Film Awards Cocktail Hour, San Diego Student Film Awards and the show itself! Past sponsors include KPBS, Microsoft, UCSD Extension and many more. Sponsorships start at $1000. NEW in 2015! Our Screenwriting Competition is new and is designed to bring out and reward some of our best writers in San Diego County. Purely local, the winners of this competition will be announced at the 2015 San Diego Film Awards and winning scripts will promoted heavily to local production companies. As a part of the competition, the FCSD sends over 3000 Call for Entries. Become a sponsor of the screenplay competition to have your brand’s name on an award or to have your own award and be mentioned in all the mailings. Following the Screenwriting Competition, we will be holding our first Film and TV Pilot Competition. Sponsorships start at $300. The San Diego Fall Film Festival is in its second year and is a three-day showcase of local film. In 2014, 65 films were shown from a total of 130 submissions to a lively, large audience at the beautiful Museum of Photographic Arts in Balboa Park. Over 550 people attended the red carpet event to watch the films. 30 films premiered at the festival. In 2015 the festival will expand to include feature films, panels and parties. Get in on the ground floor as a sponsor of this very popular event and you’ll be noticed by a fast growing crowd of local filmmakers, cast, crew and film fans. Sponsorships start at $1000. Sponsorship Opportunities Film Consortium San Diego Newsletters 2500 members have chosen to receive the Film Consortium San Diego newsletter. This list includes past contributors, current members and fans. Sponsors have the opportunity for logo inclusion, or to create their own specialty mailer. Starts at $150. Official Film Consortium Website The website draws 5,000 page views per month, offering sponsors the opportunity to place logos, banner ads or links directing traffic to their own websites. Value: $400-800. Collectible Event Programs These programs are distributed to registrants and attendees of Film Consortium San Diego events. More than 1500 of these programs are distributed. Advertise in the program with a quarter, half or full page ad to draw visitors and San Diegans to shops, restaurants or to drive traffic to your event or website. These are a collector’s item of loyal attendees. Sponsor logos are also included on the sponsor page in the program book. Ad Value: $250 to $750. Logo inclusion on Sponsor page: Available to $1000 and up cash sponsors, and or trade sponsors of $2500 and up. Event Trailer and/or Event Banners Sponsors may either provide or be included on a number of promotional banners placed in strategic locations throughout the Festival, including film venues, panels and parties. Sponsor logos can also be included on the Film Consortium Sponsorship Trailer, which shows at each event and is also promoted through social media. Available for Cash sponsors $5000+ or trade sponsors $10,000+. Title Sponsor Let your brand sponsor a specific event! This will place your companies’ name and logo as the title sponsor in all marketing and PR material related to the specific event! You will also have the opportunity for a table and signage outside the event, VIP tickets to the event, a dedicated email blast, social media posts, a ¼-page ad in our program and banner placement at event (not available in all venues). Your logo will also be included on our Step and Repeat backdrop. Directors, filmmakers and actors coming in with films love this and frequently have their photos taken in front of our Step and Repeat backdrop and Marquee during events- resulting in thousands of social media hits. Sponsor one of our events at the Horton Grand Theater and have the opportunity for San Diego to see your company’s name in lights! San Diego Film Awards and Fall Film Festival title sponsors start at $5000. Winter Film Showcase title sponsors start at $2000. Film Consortium Parties and Mixers FCSD offers numerous opportunities for networking. These are events where people relax, partnerships get formed and deals get made. Film Consortium hosts at least a dozen of these events throughout the year and have had anywhere from 75 to 750 people in attendance. Sponsor all or one of these parties or networking events and have your company’s name and logo on all materials promoting the party, including email invitations, social media banners, event pages and website. Sponsors of these parties could also be restaurants, caterers, alcohol sponsors and venues. Party Sponsorships range from $1000 to $3000. Film Screenings The Film Consortium San Diego boasts an outstanding and rapidly growing program of narrative, animation and documentary features and shorts, including premieres, advanced screenings, and independent films complemented by Q&A sessions with cast members and filmmakers. Sponsor one of our shorts programs or feature screenings and your commercial will be played before the screening as well as your banner will be placed in an optimal position at the event. Not only that but your name will be included in the title of the screening. You can sponsor screenings at the Fall Film Festival, Winter Film Showcase, San Diego Film Awards and more. Sponsorships start at $1000. Audience and Film Awards San Diego Film Awards and Audience Awards are coveted by the filmmakers and are the centerpiece of the Film Consortiums yearly programming. Tell the community you care by sponsoring and presenting an award at the San Diego Film Awards. Sponsorships for Audience Awards start at $500 Film Awards start at: $1000. Film Consortium San Diego Membership Program offers local networking events, discounts and incentives to local and visiting filmmakers, cast and crew. Membership is currently available to individuals. Members gain access to: Discounted rates on submissions, incentives and discounts at local businesses, special voting rights for designated awards, discounted event tickets and more. Venues This state of the art theater at the Museum of Photographic Arts in beautiful Balboa Park is not only centrally located in our famous park, but also provides and intimate event in a beautiful venue for up to 260 ticketed guests. The Horton Grand Theater is a beautiful historic venue for our Film Awards show. This prohibition era theater is a classy and sophisticated venue in the heart of the San Diego’s downtown nightlife hub, the Gaslamp Quarter.
