Ruth Marries Boaz — Mini Books and Pictures
Directions:
1. Read the four chapters in the book
of Ruth. There is a lot of detail in
the chapters that is not included in
this mini book.
2. Print the pages of your choice.
Page 2 is a mini book with 8 pages.
Pages 3 through 9 are full-sized
pictures suitable for coloring or for
telling a story on a classroom wall.
3. Folding instructions: For the 8 page
booklet, start by folding the page in
half the long way first.
4. Use the booklets and pictures to
tell the story and then as a coloring
project for the last few minutes of
class. At the end of class, send the
students home with a story to tell
their parents and friends.

In Moab, Elimelech died. His
two sons also died leaving
Naomi with here two daughter’s-in-law. Naomi decided to
go back to Israel. Ruth decided to go with her. She said,
“Where you go, I will go. Your
people will be my people. Your
God will be my God.”

In Bethlehem, Ruth had to find
food for Naomi by collecting leftover barley from a field that
belonged to a man name Boaz.

Boaz saw that Ruth was a faithful and worthy woman. He
decided to marry her. He
declared to the people of Bethlehem that he would buy the
lands of Elimalech and continue
the family through Ruth.

Elimelech, Naomi and their two
sons Mahlon and Chilion, traveled far away to the land of
Moab. The two sons were
married to Moabite woman,
Ruth and Orpah.

Elimelech and his wife Naomi

Obed. Obed was the father of
Jesse. Jesse was the father of
King David. So Ruth, a foreigner
from Moab, became the grandmother of the king. Ruth was
also part of the
