Pune Branch of WICASA Elections – (2013‐2014) The Managing Committee of Pune Branch of WICASA is composed of 2 members nominated by managing committee of Pune Branch of WIRC and 6 persons elected by the members of the Pune Branch of WICASA from amongst its members. Some of the relevant rules regarding eligibility to vote, eligibility to contest for election, mode of filling nomination etc., are given below: 1. Any student, who is a member of Pune Branch of WICASA as on 1st April, 2013 is eligible to vote in the election provided he continues to remain a member on the date of election. For this purpose, any student undergoing articleship training in Pune will be considered as member of Pune Branch of WICASA. 2. Any member eligible to vote in the election can contest for in the election provided the Unexpired period of his/her articleship training as on 16th September, 2013 is not less than One year. 3. A member desiring to contest the election shall submit a nomination form duly signed by himself and by a Proposer and a Seconder, who shall be persons entitled to vote in the election. The Nomination form will be available at ICAI Bhawan, Bibvewadi from Saturday, the 6th July, 2013 during office hours. 4. Every candidate for election shall pay Rs.10/‐ (by Cash/Bank Draft only) to the office of the Pune Branch of WIRC of ICAI, Pune‐ along with the nomination form which shall not be refundable in any case. Completed nomination form shall be accepted up to 5 p.m. of the Thursday, 18th July, 2013 at ICAI Bhawan, Bibvewadi, Pune. 5. List of valid nominations will be displayed at ICAI Bhawan, Bibvewadi on 20th July, 2013 by 11 am and the last date and time for withdrawal of nomination will be Monday, the 22nd July, 2013 before 2 pm. 6. The final list of Nomination will be displayed at ICAI Bhawan, Bibvewadi on 24th July, 2013 by 1.00 pm. 7. The election shall be by way of poll of members on 28th July, 2013 at “ICAI BHAVAN, Near Mahavir Electronics Bibvewadi Road, Pune. No proxy will be allowed. The names of all candidates elected shall be announced at the meeting by the Election Officer and his decision and declaration shall be final. 9. Student Members are requested to bring along their identity card/ copy of letter of article ship Registration/ Eligibility form duly signed by the Principle as a proof of their eligibility to vote.
