At The Children’s Factory, we believe in a safe and creative play environment for our children. In order to keep that vision alive
through future generations, we are taking steps to ensure a quality product is being made in a quality work environment.
In 30 + years of business, The Children’s Factory team is continuously improving our process by finding new ways of helping our
community and our planet. Our staff is dedicated to the sustainability of our environmental principles.
We are happily taking the following measures:
• Recycle paper, cardboard, foam, bottles, and plastic, to reduce
landfill size.
• Donate our ink cartridges to local schools for fundraising purposes.
• Donate unused material to local schools and daycares to
encourage artistic play.
• Re-use material and items that we cannot recycle to streamline our internal process.
• Introduced a new line of products this year made of organic material.
By educating our staff to make everyone accountable for the greater good of our environment, we are
striving to make a better tomorrow for the children who use our products. In order to ensure the safety of
those children, our products undergo testing for flammability, lead, phthalates and other harmful elements, as well as physical and mechanical tests for certain items through government approved third party
laboratories.
The Children’s Factory received the GREENGUARD® Indoor Air Quality® Certified and Children and Schools®
Certification issued by the GREENGUARD® Environmental Institute which certifies products and materials for low chemical emissions. Our materials are rigorously tested for harmful chemicals as well as emission levels from our final products in order to preserve indoor air quality. We also adhere to an annual recertification testing and quarterly monitoring program to ensure ongoing
compliance.
The extent of our green movement is always growing by reducing our waste output, increasing our recycling, and giving back to
our community. We are putting forth our best efforts to ensure a safe, environmentally friendly product for our valued customers.
