Do not attempt to bend or fold the TOSLINK cable into an angle, as this may permanently damage it. 7. If the video source is Comcast DVR, change the Audio Device Setting of the DVR from Surround to Stereo. 2. Connect the TOSLINK cable (12a) (12b) between the optical output of your audio / video system and the optical input (7) of the HD Bluetooth Transmitter. NOTE: If both the 3.5mm Audio Input (6) & the Digital TOSLINK Optical Audio Input (7) are connected, only the 3.5mm Audio Input will be played. SETTING UP YOUR HD BLUETOOTH TRANSMITTER 1. Connect one end of the audio cable (10a) or (11a) to the 3.5mm Audio Input (6) of the HD Bluetooth Transmitter. 2. Connect the other end of the audio cable (10b) or (11b) to the audio output of your audio / video system. Consult your audio / video system user manual for more information on how to accomplish this. 4. For some TVs, you may need to turn on the Internal Mute (the built-in TV speakers) to send audio to the digital and/or analog RCA audio output jacks on the side panel. 5. Some TVs do not send audio to the digital audio jack in certain circumstances, e.g. if the input source is HDMI, or if the video content is not in digital format. In such cases, use the analog RCA audio connection on the TV side panel. 6. For PS3 game consoles, select only [Linear PCM 2 Ch. 44.1kHz] and [Linear PCM 2 Ch. 48kHz] (deselect all others) output format in the PS3 audio settings. If you connect the Transmitter directly to the optical output of the PS3, set the Audio Multi-Output to ON. For more information, check out p.5 TIPS : If your audio / video system features a RCA audio output port, use the bundled RCA cable for better user experience. Some TV Speakers will be muted automatically when the headphone jack is in use. The volume of the headphone jack can be adjusted using the TV or the receiver, and this will affect the volume of the HD Bluetooth Transmitter. p.6 Note: When streaming audio to two headphones / speakers, the HD Bluetooth Transmitter will select by default the optimal codec supported by each device. For example, if one of the headphones supports aptX and the other does not, the Bluetooth Transmitter will stream aptX audio to the aptX compatible headphone, and stream regular Bluetooth SBC audio to the regular Bluetooth headphone. While in dual streaming mode, the Bluetooth transmission range will be slightly affected. For the best experience, it is suggested to operate the HD Bluetooth Transmitter and the headphones / speakers within 10m with line of sight. A U TO -P O W ER O FF The HD Bluetooth Transmitter will automatically power off if no device is connected in 2 minutes. Short press the MFK button to power up the HD Bluetooth Transmitter again. The Transmitter will search for the last two connected devices for 60 seconds upon power up, and will automatically connect to the first of the last two connected device found, as 1. The High / Low volume switch can be used to adjust the volume of the audio transmission. 2. Always try to adjust the volume from the audio / video system. 3. Adjust the volume level on your Bluetooth audio receiving device(s). 4. If the volume output is still too high, too low, or if you notice audible distortion, switch (8) to your desired level. 5. You will need to power up the HD Bluetooth Transmitter again for the new volume setting to take effect. F ACTORY RESET While the HD Bluetooth Transmitter is turned off, press and hold the MFK button (1) for 10 seconds until (2) blinks in blue for 3 times. Remove the protective caps from the Optical TOSLINK Audio Cable included in the package. The custom-shaped TOSLINK connector cable is designed to fit into only one position. Do not exert unnecessary force when inserting the p.4 for 3 seconds while the Transmitter is still turned on. Follow the same pairing step 3. If pairing is successful and the newly paired device is connected, (2) will blink in blue every 5 seconds. Follow the pairing steps above if this has not been done so earlier. 1. Make sure that the HD Bluetooth Transmitter is connected to one of the audio receiving devices, and (2) should blink in blue every 5 seconds when connected. light blinks in Blue 2. While the first device` is connected, double press (1) to switch the HD Bluetooth Transmitter into dual stream mode. The HD Bluetooth Transmitter will remain in pairing mode for 120 seconds, or until successfully paired. After 120 seconds, you can press the MFK button to set the HD Bluetooth Transmitter to pairing mode again. 3. When trying to reconnect to the 2nd Bluetooth audio receiving device, (3) will blink in green. TO PAIR WITH A 2nd BLUETOOTH DEVICE Before the HD Bluetooth Transmitter can be set to enable dual streaming, it needs to be paired with the 2nd Bluetooth audio device first. After the HD Bluetooth Transmitter has been paired with the 1st device, switch off the Transmitter first. Simply press-&-hold (1) 4. If the re-connection is successful, (3) will remain steady in green, and both devices will play audio from the HD Bluetooth Transmitter simultaneously. • If the re-connection fails, (3) will blink in red 3 times. Make sure that the 2nd device is available for re-connection. p.7 Pairing Mode p.8 Faststream Device Connected light blinks in Blue Lights blink in Blue and Red alternately. light blinks in Red Re-connection Mode 1. Place the HD Bluetooth Transmitter within 1 meter of your Bluetooth audio receiver during the pairing process. 2. The pairing mode will last for 2 minutes. If no devices can be connected within 2 minutes, the HD Bluetooth Transmitter will enter standby mode, and (2) remains steady in blue. 4. The HD Bluetooth Transmitter will save up to 2 device pairing records, and only those 2 previously paired devices will be automatically re-connected when the Transmitter is powered on. 5. When a third device is paired, the first device pairing record will be removed. The internal antenna of the HD Bluetooth Transmitter has been fine-tuned to provide a wide operating range. When the product is properly placed with an uninterrupted line of sight and there is no radio interference, it can typically achieve transmission distances ranging from 10-20m. Do not surround the HD Bluetooth Transmitter with metallic objects or put it behind any electronic appliances. Doing so will severely reduce the transmission performance. Please ensure that there are no obstacles (walls, corners, partitions etc.) between the Transmitter and the Bluetooth receiving devices.
