Ravenscourt Park
The origins of Ravenscourt Park lie in the medieval manor and estate of
Palingswick manor, located on the site and first recorded in the 12th
century. Today, it is an 8.3 hectare public park and garden which became
one of the Borough's flagship parks after winning a Green Flag Award. Its
facilities include tennis and basketball courts, a bowling green, an allweather pitch, a walled garden, multiple play areas and a paddling pool
for children.
The Tabard
The Tabard dates back to 1880 and was built as part of a range of
buildings designed by architect Norman Shaw, the original tiling by William
de Morgan and Walter Crane are in view in the front entrance and the
right hand bar. There is a choice of cask ales and the Tabard serves
traditional classic pub fare. An intimate fringe theatre is situated on the
first floor and there is a sweet courtyard garden to the side, very much
loved by the locals.
The Dove
A prime spot to watch the annual Boat Race, The Dove stands amid the
rowing clubs, dog-walkers and benches on the Upper Mall embankment
upriver from Hammersmith Bridge. It was once frequented by Charles II
and Nell Gwynn and is now enjoyed by drinkers who come to sit on the
riverside terrace overlooking the houseboats.
Westfield Centre
Situated under one stunning roof there are over 300 shops to browse and
buy. The Village is a must for the extravagance lovers with stores from the
world’s leading fashion houses, where you can also partake of a glass of
bubbly at the champagne bar. The extensive food hall offers an amazing
assortment of food from around the globe along with the small stalls that
are peppered around the centre. Vue Westfield is the UK’s largest

Lyric Hammersmith
The Lyric Hammersmith was originally built as an intimate opera house in
1895 and has undergone major redevelopments over the years. Today, the
theatre presents 1000 performances a year that bring over 15,0000
people through its doors. A multi-million pound project has recently
kicked off to expand the current building to create new facilities for
training young people to become the theatre-makers of the future,
