THE
2011 SOUTHERN ZONE PROGRAM
IS
Dedicated
IN LOVING MEMORY
of
JOHN HITER
and
PAT IRELAND
Both of whom spent many years as members and
leaders of out Southern Zone. The loss of these men
leave big shoes to be filled. They spent many hours of
their own time working to promote the sport we all
love.
(They will be sorely missed, but not forgotten)

Welcome to the 64th Southern Zone Trap Shoot. We will be Shooting
from three locations, giving shooters throughout the Zone a great opportunity to compete in the Southern Zone Tournament, while keeping travel time to a minimum.
I have appointed the SZTA Delegates and other key personal at all three
sites, the responsibilities to run and coordinate this shoot. I will serve as
Tournament Director per the SZTA By-Laws, with Fred Jensen
assisting me. I will be at the at the North Carolina Home Grounds in
Bostic NC and Fred will be at Nashville Gun Club in TN. during the Tournament, and will be available for any questions or problems that may
arise.
The Tournament sites are very well known for holding quality shoots.
This is great time to meet up with friends and fellow Trap Shooters and
enjoy each others company. We wish to welcome you to another Great
Southern Zone Tournament.
I would like to expressly thank the three Gun Clubs and their State
Associations for their dedication and hard work to make this a very successful Southern Zone Tournament.
Sincerely,
Terry Roush

TOURNAMENT RULES
ATA Rules will govern this tournament and all scores will be included in the official ATA
records. By entering the tournament events, all shooters agree to accept the official decision
and abide by the rules. Violation of any ATA Safety Rules may be cause for disqualification and

SZTA Delegates, reserves the right to reject any entrant and to modify the program at any
time during the shoot.
CLASSIFICATION & QUALIFICATION
All participants must be classified by the Classification Committee before they squad. ATA
cards must be up to date and scores averaged before classification may be accomplished.
The Classification Committee at each site will review scores daily and reserves the right to
reclassify any shooter at any time during the shoot. Known ability, previous and current averages will assist in determinations. It is the shooter’s responsibility to know the rules and
shoot at the correct yardage and in the correct class. Shooters are subject to penalties for
shooting in the wrong class or at the wrong yardage no matter how their card is marked.
