SHARE THIS COMMUNICATION WITH OTHERS We have one more State-wide DeMolay month event, the closing lock-in. We have a goal of 25 new members for the 1st annual DeMolay month Phoenix class that night. Have prospect parties this week and next week so we can ensure a strong showing! The lock-in is also a prospect party, so bring prospects! We have activities planned for the prospects during the initiation. Let’s finish DeMolay month out strong! Adam Dorety State Senior Councilor Oklahoma DeMolay 2012-2013 Arkansas DeMolay State Class March 16 Arkansas DeMolay held their State Class and Excalibur Chapter made the journey across the state line to assist our Brothers by performing the initiation for them. March Madness March Madness was held March 16 in Edmond along with a Cover the Town event. From the Job’s Daughters of Oklahoma If you would like to donate to either the Special Olympics or to H.I.K.E. just contact your local Rainbow Assembly or Job’s Daughters Bethel. The Annual Job’s Daughters Rally will be at the Biltmore Hotel on S. Meridian in OKC from May 31st to June 2nd. The Miss Oklahoma Job's Daughter Pageant and dance will be held Saturday, June 1st at 7:00 p.m. All are invited. Formal attire. Closing Lock-in The DeMolay Month Closing Lock-In will be hosted by Stillwater Chapter on Saturday April 6th from 4 p.m. to 8 a.m. • There will be a “Cover the Town” event to begin the night. • There will be a dinner served by the State Officers and Stillwater Chapter. • This event is going to be as fun as possible. Everyone is invited to attend this event! Remember that although this is a state event, it is also a prospect party so be sure to bring potential members! There is nothing we would love to see more than to see a bunch of guys interested in DeMolay there! If you have a Chapter Sweetheart, bring her! However, the girls will only be able to stay until 10pm, so please have an advisor who can take her home afterwards! The evening will also include the 1st Annual Phoenix Class Initiation. The Phoenix is the bird that dies and comes back to life. These new members will breathe a "new life" into our chapters! Our goal for this initiation is 25 members. We already have 10-12 candidates who will be there. Highland Park is providing the DeMolay Degree, Excalibur is performing the Initiatory Degree, and Edmond Chapter (With SSC Adam Dorety as MC) will be performing fourth section. New initiates are invited as well as brothers who have been through the COL and Obs. but want to go through the full degrees. Dress is Semi formal (suit and tie with DeMolay pins) Creek District is also supposed to have a District meeting at some point during the night. Frank Marshall March 22-24 as the Annual Frank Marshall Championship Tournament in Arlington, Texas. Oklahoma was very well represented. If my numbers are correct there were 36 different competitions on the DeMolay side and Oklahoma won 25 of those competitions. Not bad at all for our guys. Excalibur brought home 5 Championship Banners. But Excalibur was not the only Chapter from Oklahoma to bring home some new banners to hang on their walls. Route 66 our newest Chapter took 3 members to the tournament and all of them came home with medals for meeting proficiency on the Obligations competition. For our sisters from Rainbow in appears as though they did quite awesome as well. Our State Sweetheart Miss Madison Birdwell won Patriotism with a score of 1000. Miss Conclave Kounty Soderstrom won Love with a 995. Overall it was a great weekend had by all those that attended. If Frank Marshall is any sign of things to come we should look forward to some great competition at Conclave. Only time will tell.
