And so…once again, life (over which I seem to have relinquished all control over) dealt some pretty serious cards over
the last couple of weeks…and try as I might to try and dig thru them, sometimes it takes a village for clarity…
New webpage being migrated over to a new server, almost finished kitting the breast cancer piece courtesy of Betsy
Morgan this year – it’s pretty sweet and I am taking pictures this weekend for insertion into the document, all the
packaging came via UPS yesterday afternoon – getting part of class goodies ready for our Betsy Morgan weekend in
September, working on something amazingly wonderful with Cathy Haberman of Hand On Designs – we have put what
is left of our collective brains together and it’s wonderfully cute like a little piece of sweet wizardry and it will be
complete as soon as I finish stitching the last little bit and then I have to order thread – all the linen is here and the
finishing fabrics from Moda – it’s just really swell.
My weekend is full of “stuff” – I have to cook massive amounts of chicken quarters – strip them off the bone and freeze
the chickie meat for brown rice and chicken dogger food, take pictures, 3 days of walking training, hoping to dodge the
heat – we had over 100 in various forms and stages since Sunday last, move a large piece of furniture into the house and
up the stairs, finish my office, get a box ready to ship some stuff out of here, figure out a place to unpack and store
36,000 yards of jumbo chenille that got delivered last week, get a bunch of chenille cards ready to go, deal with a large
onslaught on ebay, paint a bedroom, take care of the flea meds on a herd of doggers and then just the usually amount of
typical weekend stuff: shoveling messes, loads of laundry, ironing, etc. and then staying home Monday night to make
sure that all survive the massive amounts of booms and whistles that should start tonight since they started selling last
Tuesday afternoon – love the way they look in the sky but HATE what it does to the animals…so keep yours all safe
because the intake at the pounds goes up between 20-30% on this holiday with terrified animals doing everything they
can to get away from the noise.
So…once again I have been neglectful to the update – I wish that the days included at least 20 more hours or that I didn’t
keep waking up at 3:00 a.m. because open eyes equal brain engaged and then by 9:00 p.m. I’m trying to keep my head
from snapping off as I try to keep it on my shoulders and pointed in the right direction ;) and apologies ahead of time –
no matter what I do I can’t get this to flow as one page or a combination and it’s either take the pictures smaller (which
defeats the purpose) or leave the gaps in exchange for larger pictures that you can all see – quandary of the highest
order
In no particular order…here we go

And so…there it is and scrolling back thru it – there seems not to be such major “gaps” in the pages but we’ll see what
happens when I put it into pdf format – if only it would all work seamlessly…but my life doesn’t always work that way
– and I hear a resounding chorus of “fat chance” being muttered ;)
It’s been disgustingly hot here since Sunday last – triple numbers for the last 4 days and last night the delta breeze
finally kicked in and we got some relief which was hugely good. With all the doggers and this kind of heat – they
don’t want to go out at all – even in the shade – so it’s like having a day care center full of 4 year olds on a very wet,
rainy and snowy day – they wrestle, they throw toys everywhere, they shred paper towels if papa has made the
mistake of leaving one on the coffee table and they drop their chewy elk antlers with a resounding THUD on the
hardwood floors – because they can.
So…I finished earlier than expected – am going to go slam this into the magic PDF machine and upload it to the
website – and then start on this afternoon’s list of “OMG I have to get this done too before I can go home…”
Have a wonderful 4th weekend – I love it when it falls on Friday or Monday because it’s a 3-dayer and I get so much
more done on that third day – it’s a gift… thanks for visiting…and I promise (again) I’ll try and find some more time
and a more timely fashion for doing this…I really do need an extra 10 or 11 hours in my days.
