Make Money with Paid Online Surveys
THE ULTIM A TE CHECKLIST FOR
SUCCEEDING WITH P A ID ONLINE
SURVEYS
Set the right expectations
Paid online surveys can never substitute the income you get
from a day job and are by no means a get-rich-quick option.
However, they can be an easy way to earn some extra spending
money in your spare time. Beware that many survey sites only
offer non-monetary payments such as discounts, coupons or
points which you can redeem for presents.
Create an email account for surveys
Set-up a free email account for surveys only. Prevent accidental
spam filtering and never miss an interesting offer. Add all the
survey websites you’re registered with to your address book.
Create separate folders for survey invitations and completed
surveys and stay organised.
Get a PayPal account
Sign up for a free PayPal account to make online money
transfers easier and get your payments faster. Keep a record
of when and how much you should get paid. If you do not
receive what you were supposed to or if any of your payments
is delayed, immediately contact the survey company.
Download an autofill tool
Registering to survey panels as well as typing the same
information again and again while answering surveys can be a
tedious process. Use an autofill/password protection management
tool such as RoboForm, LastPass or Dashlane to fill out online
forms with one click. In addition to increasing your productivity
while working online, these password managers will keep your
personal data more secure.
Beware of scammers
Before you join a survey site read carefully testimonies of longtime participants to get a sense of how they feel about the
panel. All legitimate survey sites are free. You should never be
asked to pay to join a survey site, to get a list of survey sites or
to pay a portion of your earnings to the survey panel. Always
read the terms and policy terms to avoid scams.
Register with many panels
Register with multiple survey sites in order to build a steady
stream of surveys into your email inbox. Survey companies will
often offer only one or two surveys per week. It pays off to sign
up with several of them and do as many surveys as you can.
Fill out your personal profile
The more complete and detailed your personal profile on a survey
site, the more survey offers you will receive. The panels match
you with appropriate surveys based on your profile. You risk
missing out on interesting opportunities or getting offers you
don’t qualify for if your profile is empty or incomplete. Therefore,
keep your profile accurate and update it regularly every 6 months.
Do more of what works for you
Classify survey panels according to their benefits they offer
and prioritize those that truly reward you. Look for a
minimum payment amount and choose the most lucrative
ones first. Decide whether a survey is worth your while
based on the estimated completion time and the advertised
reward. Note that many surveys take less time than stated,
especially after you get some practice.
Respond quickly
Check your email regularly and answer the available
surveys as soon as you can. Many surveys are offered
only for a limited amount of time, while others have
registration quotas and fill up quickly.
Be honest
Be sincere in the way you fill out the surveys, answer every
question honestly and take your time. Many survey companies
use software that checks your answers and compares them to
your previous inputs. Your account may be suspended and your
rewards revoked if the survey panel suspects you are changing
your personal details and other characteristic features to qualify
for surveys or if you skim through questions too quickly.
Cash out immediately
Cash out your rewards as soon as your balance reaches the
minimum payout level and transfer your money to your
PayPal account. Secure yourself from unpleasant situations
in case the survey company goes bankrupt or your
discount/gift voucher is no longer valid.
