GENERAL RELEASE OF LIABILITY - Northwood University Football

While enrolled in a sports camp at Northwood University
(“Northwood”), my child may engage in sports or other events or
contests of an athletic nature that pose a risk of injury to my child. I
understand that their participation in the above-mentioned activities
may involve risk of severe injury to them, and that no amount of
precaution by Northwood can eliminate such risk. Because of this
and in consideration of Northwood’s willingness to allow them to
participate in such activities, I agree as follows:

They will participate in athletic events in a careful
and prudent manner and will attempt whenever
possible to minimize the risk of injury to
themselves and others.
•
They agree to exercise a reasonable degree of
care to protect the safety of themselves and
others while participating in campus activities
and sports camps.
•
I hereby release Northwood, its agents, officers,
employees and trustees from liability for any
injury to themselves or their property suffered or
arising out of an athletic or other event, including
such injury to my person or property resulting
from any cause other than the gross negligence
or intentional misconduct of Northwood, its
agents, officers, employees or trustees. I give this
waiver and release intending to legally bind myself
and my heirs, representatives, successors
and assigns.

ABOUT THE CAMP
This camp focuses on high repetitions and
individualized instruction for positions on both offense
and defense. The camp will also include a one-onone segment along with speed and agility training.
Northwood University’s football staff will teach you
proper techniques and strategies needed to excel
in football.
This camp is a great opportunity for you to work with
college coaches in preparation for your upcoming
season as well as gain exposure for your recruitment!
Open to all positions for players
entering 9th through 12th grade.
