Aerocom AC3000: Value Engineering
Thru-Station Technology—Aerocom’s TITAN Station
Aerocom’s AC 3000 system utilizes sending and receiving stations that are
the perfect solution for today’s busy hospital environments. This thrustation design has allowed Aerocom engineers to develop a system
which minimizes the amount of tubing needed. Because the Titan station has the capability of serving as a pass-thru unit, carriers travel
through several floors without the need to be routed through other system diverters and direct connect units. This technology saves time in
carrier transfer and saves coveted space in the interstitial areas.

Low Voltage Advantage
Low voltage requirements for Aerocom systems, is another way our clients continue to see savings. The AC 3000 is powered through a central
power supply and from that point is stepped down to 24 volts DC. There
is no need for additional data cable ports or 110v outlets at each station
or diverter location throughout the inter-workings of the hospital. This
pneumatic tube system technology can save thousands of dollars in the
electrical scope of work.

Aerocom AC3000: Functionality
Aerocom’s user interfaces make selecting the carrier’s destination simple and easy. The system controls can be customized for each end user’s preferences. With one button
destinations are preprogrammed for each station. The
carriers are strategically routed by the system's PC controller through multiple zones and diverters to reach their destination. Once the carrier has arrived, an alert signal will
notify the recipient, that a carrier is in the station. Through
the system and station design the carrier is automatically
slowed down as it nears the station, ensuring safe delivery
RFID Technology
Aerocom offers the use of RFID tagged carriers. This tagging feature labels each carrier with a unique identifier
that assigns it a “home” station which allows it to automatically return to its original location when inserted
back into the system. Once a carrier has traveled through
3000 transactions, the RFID tracking device alerts the system and automatically pulls the carrier out of service for
regular maintenance. Detailed reports can be created
and analyzed from this tracking feature and helps to optimize system procedures.

Single Zone System Aerocom’s single zone system enables smaller hospital facilities to take advantage of pneumatic tube system technology
while remaining budget oriented and cost efficient. The single zone system is recommended for up to 12 stations and requires minimal installation components with only one blower for one zone of transmission. The single zone system is fully

Multi-Zone System -
For more complex systems, Aerocom’s multi-zone system interconnects up to 1024
stations utilizing as many as 128 independently operating zones. Transfer units
(called direct connects) will allow the exchange of carriers between zones enabling
multiple zones to operate concurrently.
Aerocom’s Direct Connect units dramatically
reduce transit and wait times. The number
of carriers can be in transit at the same
time equals to the number of zones installed.
Linear Coupler Aerocom’s newest technology provides hospitals with a way
to blend ergonomics, performance, and aesthetics straight out
of the mechanical room. The Linear Coupler offers ease of
transmission for facilities with high capacity transfer needs
expediting the inter-zone transfer process by connecting up to
21 zones to a single device. The Linear Coupler incorporates 3
-way axis movement powered by high speed industrial grade
servo motors. The Coupler’s programming ensures the carriers to take the path of least resistance. If the direct route is
busy, then the Coupler will re-route through Direct Connect
units without interruption.
This space saving device has the ability to connect up to 21
zones in a single unit. However, there is no limit to how many
units can be interlinked to meet the needs of the hospital.

Aerocom AC3000: Operating System
Aerocom’s AC3000 operating system is based on a WIN3000 platform and is compatible with Windows XP and
Windows 7. Connections between the independent zones of the system are managed by a central PC control unit
that communicates with the diverters placed throughout the routing. This system communication ability allows
for functions such as priority send/receive settings and automatic forwarding in case of power failures. When system updates are needed, an Aerocom service engineer can access the system data through the “programming
mode” and download the changes necessary with only a few minutes of system interruption.
Our Windows based platform enables us to perform system diagnostic tests through a secure internet connection.
Aerocom technicians can remotely dial into the AC3000 PC and detect any problems the system may be experiencing.
Many performance issues can be diagnosed and resolved without dispatching a technician,
offering you maximum reliability and uptime for your facility.
