MISSOURI PAINT HORSE CLUB NATIONAL DIRECTOR NOMINEES
Vote ONLINE: www.aphaonline.org/vote. Voting Begins March 24 – Ends Midnight, May 1, 2011
On March 21, the APHA will be sending out Voter Registration Number postcards with instructions for voting online or requesting a paper ballot. The Missouri Paint Horse Club encourages each eligible voter to cast a ballot in this important National Director election. These two worthy
nominees have been and currently are actively involved in our Club and were elected at the January 2011 Annual Membership meeting. Each is
well equipped to represent us on a national level. The Missouri Paint Horse Club appreciates your support of our endorsed candidates.
LISA MAXWELL:
Simply saying ‘Paint horse enthusiast’ does not even begin to describe Lisa’s intense passion for Paint horses. She is the driving force of the Maxwell Paint horse operation. If you’ve visited with Lisa about Paints in general and, specifically, Paint halter horses, you’ll walk away having learned more about every facet of breeding, raising, buying and showing halter horses.
Not only does she bring this hands-on horse knowledge to the table, her business minded attributes are a
valuable asset to the Missouri Paint Horse Club. For the past several years, Lisa has served on the MPHC Board
and headed up the Missouri Breeder’s Futurity, both responsibilities she will again handle in 2011. Lisa definitely has a grasp on the Paint horse industry and makes it her mission to be aware of current Paint horse, state
club and show trends. Membership in the World Conformation Horse Association adds to her knowledge
base. Her input as a MPHC Board member is from a standpoint of having been there, done that and still doing
it. Because the Maxwell family travels and shows extensively, her national overview contributes to the direction and benefit of the Missouri Paint Horse Club.
When not on the road or in the barn, Lisa offices at BSC Equipment, Inc., Bates City, Missouri, owned and
operated by her and husband Butch. Lisa is not the only Maxwell entrenched in the industry. Butch served as
MPHC President the past four years and daughter Kensy is a regular winner in the show pen. Fifteen World
and Reserve Championship titles, numerous nationwide Show Circuit awards and Year End High Point awards
can be attributed to the Maxwell dedication, knowledge and hard work.
A vast array of experience, current knowledge and business sense make Lisa an extremely capable and
worthy candidate as a Missouri National Director.
OLIN PARKER:
A lifelong horse background along with past and present experience lends to a ‘yes’ vote for Olin as a
Missouri National Director. He is a multi-talented exhibitor, rider and specialist in producing top halter
horses. As a business owner of Olin Parker Show Horses, he brings with him savy for making the right
decisions. As a member of the Board of Directors, Olin’s over-all Paint horse insight and knowledge are
assets to the Missouri Paint Horse Club. His management skills are impeccable as he successfully juggles many responsibilities with family, clients, horses, the show circuit and his training center. His knowledge, enthusiasm and positive approach to his own business, the Paint horse industry and, specifically,
the Missouri Paint Horse Club, combine to influence the future success of the our Club.
Future success of the MPHC and the APHA is a top priority for both Olin and his wife Rachel in the
interest of their two children: Presley, age 6, and Braxton, age 2. Presley is already a horse show veteran
with World Championships and Braxton’s expressed interest indicates he will soon follow in his sister’s
footsteps.
In the short time since Olin started showing under Olin Parker Show Horses, he has brought to his
clients thirty-six World or Reserve Championships along with many national Show Circuit and Year End
titles.
Family, horse, client, club and business focused, Olin Parker Show Horses, located in Independence,
Missouri, has a substantial personal, time and financial investment in the right direction of the Missouri
Paint Horse Club and the American Paint Horse Association.
