The capital of the district and the tourist pearl of
Drawskie Lake District. An excellent sports and leisure
centre with the world’s longest water-ski lift, swimming
pool, stadium, tennis centre, and numerous modern halls
and sports fields. The undeniable attractions include the
regular water tram, water taxis, rickshaws and the bicycle
rental network. It is also the cultural centre of the district
attracting a big audience both to large outdoor concerts
as well as theatre, cabaret and other events in the area
of culture.
It is dominated by forests and numerous lakes (approx.
40). The two largest lakes are Wielimie (area of 1865 ha)
with the largest lake island in Poland, and Wierzchowo
(area of 731 ha). They are very attractive for the
enthusiasts of sailing, windsurfing and kitesurfing.
It is also a kind of paradise for canoeists, anglers, cyclists
and all those who love contact with nature. An ideal
place for summer rest and relaxation in nature.
An ideal site for lovers of history and the mysteries of
World War II, called the „tourist training ground”. Also
pay attention to numerous beautiful and large lakes and
a well developed network of lodgings. The highlights of
this area are the hectares of moorland and enchanting
backwaters of the Piława River - the Nadarzyce Lagoon.
