086 FLOOR STAND
086 BAG TRIMMER
Simple and easy to use, the
bag trimmer removes excess
bag neck material above the
Kwik Lok® Closure while
the bag is being closed by the
086A machine. The Trimmer’s
ceramic blade offers 100 times
the life of a conventional steel
blade. Trimmers are available
in two models: Low and High
Profile. The High Profile trims
the bag neck approximately
1.5” (3.8 cm) above the
closure. The Low Profile trims
approximately 1” (2.5 cm)
above the closure.

TYPE 086
Closer height can be adjusted between 22”
and 50”. Mounted on casters, the stand is
easy to move. Wheels can be locked into
place. The 086 can be rotated 90 degrees
and has horizontal adjustments.
BAG NECK TRIMMER MECHANISM
Inserting the bag prepares the
neck for trimming.
During the closing cycle, the
blade swivels into position.
After the bag is closed, the
blade shears the bag neck as
the package is removed.
The result is a trimmed and
closed bag. The machine is
ready for the next cycle.

Type 086A
Type 086A Semiautomatic Bag Closing Machines are engineered for
unmatched reliability, performance, and convenience of operation. Featuring
a power breakoff and closure advance, the 086A will close at speeds up to 30
bags per minute. The design is compact, portable, and jam proof. The 086A
accepts either medium duty or heavy duty closures with no adjustments.

The 086 Model 100 uses Series RJ
closures. This closure is a smaller
closure for lighter weight packages
up to 5 lbs. Series RJ cannot be
printed with the 086 Printer.

Series RL, SL, RLP, SLP, R, and S
closures. Series RL and SL closures
are manufactured with a small
paper label affixed to the closure
to facilitate printing with the 086

Printer. Series RLP and SLP are
identical to Series RL and SL except
the label is preprinted with the words
“SELL BY”. Series R and S can be
used with the Model 200 but cannot
be printed with the 086 Printer.

THE 086 PRINTER
The 086 Printer uses a disposable
ink roll eliminating the use of
liquid ink. Several band printer
configurations are available to meet
a wide range of package printing
requirements. A block printer is also
available allowing the packager to
customize print beyond that which
is offered on standard band printers.
Block printers can also print two
lines of type. The 086 printer uses
black or red ink.
A plastic cover mounted over the printer
reduces intrusion of foreign materials
into the printer’s working parts.

The 086 Printer can be ordered with a band
printer. These printing heads use rubber
type on a series of rotating bands.

The 086 Model 300, 400, and
500 use Kwik Lok’s ClosureLabels. Custom printed closurelabels allow you to CLOSE &
LABEL your bagged package
in one operation. Closurelabels can be printed in any
number of colors on one or
both sides of the label. With the
086 Printer you can also print
price, date, lot codes, and more
on the closure-label as the bags
are being closed.
