Vivreau’s Vi tap Plus and Bottler – a successful combination
The Swan at Streatley, part of the Rare Bird Hotels group, is an intimate country hotel on the banks of the Thames offering
informal luxury, a warm welcome, delicious food and tip-top service.
The hotel invested in Vivreau’s Table Water Bottling System for its restaurant service and a Vi tap Plus in its new gym and spa bar
area. Michael Westenbrink, General Manager of The Swan at Streatley explains: “We chose to invest in the Vivreau drinking water
systems because we wanted to widen our offering to our customers. We went a step further and decided not to offer any prebottled mineral water at all.”
Lucy Potter, MD of Rare Bird Hotels comments: “The Vivreau products have helped us achieve our sustainability goals. The impact
on recycling has been huge as we don’t have staff taking out loads of plastic bottles overnight – it’s a much neater and cleaner
system. The new products have also eliminated the amount of time staff spend on orders, deliveries and creating storage space.”

Vivreau’s Vi tap Plus dispenses mains-fed purified chilled still, sparkling and instant boiling hot water from one single tap with
a touch sensor control and zero splash. The Vi tap Plus is a taller version of the Vi tap, thereby enabling bar staff to fill Vivreau’s
reusable Designer glass bottles from the tap as well as glasses and cups. Michael explains: “The Vi tap Plus has made a big
difference to us, it saves us a lot of space, it’s user friendly and looks great behind the bar.”
Lucy comments: “The Vi tap Plus has been great in our new spa area, our
beautician makes teas and coffees for clients and no longer has to wait for a
kettle to boil. The more time she can spend doing treatments instead of making
drinks the better!”
The Table Water Bottling System is used to offer restaurant customers filtered
still or sparkling water in Vivreau’s reusable Designer glass bottles which have
been branded with the hotel logo and an environmental message on the back.

Lucy stated: “Vivreau’s Designer glass bottles are the nicest ones on the market. We looked at several different companies and one of the selling points was
that they looked so good. It’s great having our own branding on the bottle and
our customers really like it.”
