JN Bentley is a leading civil engineering and construction company in the UK, directly
employing over 800 people and with an annual turnover in the region of £120 million,
generated from projects both in the building and civil engineering markets.
JN Bentley is offering the opportunity for placement students to gain valuable experience
and develop a number of key skills that will help you to pursue a career in Accountancy;
working at our Head office in Skipton, North Yorkshire. The role will grow organically, and
placement students will be able to take on added responsibility as their confidence and
ability progresses.
What does the role involve?







Maintaining accurate payments, receipts records and audit costing systems
Assisting in the production of monthly management accounts
Managing payments of monthly expenses and subsistence
Overhead account analysis and reporting
Liaising with and dealing with employee requests and providing support on any issues
Ad-hoc admin responsibilities
Assisting in the preparation of accounts

Who are we looking for?








You should have the ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a sense
of humour
You must be able to work both in a team and independently
You need to be confident, self-motivated, and portray a strong work ethic
You should have good basic IT skills, especially in Excel
You must have good communication skills, and be friendly, approachable and polite
You must be organised and have excellent time management skills
You must be studying a full time business/finance-related degree
You must be eligible to work in the UK
