These statistics are preliminary counts of the original police incident reports and may vary from the final UCR (Uniform Crime
Reporting) statistics published by the FBI.
Week Beginning
Aggravated Assaults (5): One assault involved a male who stabbed another male in the back while at the Rocker Room Bar; three involved husband/wife or
boyfriend/girlfriend domestic assaults where items where thrown: brick, rock and a cooked chicken; and one assault occurred between a male and his
girlfriend’s son who punched him.
Auto Burglaries (6): Most auto burglaries involved unlocked vehicles where items stolen included purses, gloves, a stereo or broken e-cigs.
Residential Burglaries (3): In all three residential burglaries, the suspect appeared to know the victim. In one case, the victim was possibly lured away by one
of the suspects and returned to find over $1,200 of his belongings stolen or damaged. The second case involved a family who had been on vacation and
returned to find their house ransacked and missing over $2,000 in jewelry, electronics and other items. In this case, the possible suspect is a neighbor. The
final residential burglary involved over $3,500 in meds and a wheelchair stolen from an apartment while the victim was out to lunch. Detectives have been
assigned and are working these cases.
Thefts (6): Thefts varied in locations and types including a locked bike stolen from in front of an apartment building to $5,550 worth of jewelry missing from a
motel room. Two newspaper vending boxes were taken as well as credit cards from a misplaced wallet. Shoplifting items involved the theft of candy from a
sports store to a basket of beer and snacks at a grocery store (loss prevention officer was able to recover).
