Dale of Norway has been a leader in knitwear
design and manufacturing since 1879. Known
for its long history, authenticity, and quality, Dale
of Norway still crafts the world’s finest knitwear
at the historic factory in Norway, inspired by
beautiful Norwegian patterns and the active

The 2016 collection includes authentic, contemporary
and technical garments for fashion and sport
made from premium 100% wool; ranging from
long-lasting Norwegian wool to the finest skinsoft Merino, all new lamb’s wool Merino and
Dale’s innovative Weatherproof protection. Dale
of Norway continues to develop different yarn
qualities and designs to offer the consumer the
best and most comfortable knitwear.
Some of the new designs incorporate historic
Norwegian patterns. Other styles feature clean
lines and subtle patterns. To attract a younger
audience, Dale of Norway will be introducing
the Viking Collection of sweaters and outerwear
jackets that are dark in color, with subtle Viking
symbols and advanced knitting structures. Authentic
detailing can be found on many styles, including
pewter buttons, leather trim and embroidery.

Bykle is a unique 100% skinsoft superfine Merino (16.5 micron) garment that can be worn as a
baselayer or next to skin sweater. This style is sporty and versatile, and features a round neckline
with button closures.The incredibly fine Merino is knitted tightly to offer maximum comfort and
avoid show-through. A traditional Norwegian Setesdal pattern of crosses can be found on the
upper arm in the masculine version and in flattering side panels in the feminine version. Naturally
wicking, the Bykle is available in men’s and women’s version and sizes. The colors match the midlayer sweaters and outerlayer Knitshells to create an attractive 3-layer concept.

Bykle is a village in the valley of Setesdal.

The Rondane Sweater, available in men’s and
women’s styles, is designed with a unique, premium 100% skinsoft superfine 16.5 micron Merino.
The Rondane is soft enough to be worn next to the
skin or as a layering piece. It is sporty, yet elegant
with a 1/4 zip front, clean lines, and a traditional Norwegian pattern inspired by the St. Moritz
Championship sweater, is ideal for everyday
wear to a day on the slopes. It comes in four specific colors for men and women in hues of grey,
black, raspberry and sky blue with an optional
coordinating Merino hat. Machine washable.
This sweater features a design that has an
ice crystal look incorporating the traditional
eight-pointed rose pattern. Made with Dale’s
3-ply skinsoft Merino wool with stain and dirt resistant white yarn, the Frostisen is sporty, functional
and made with natural fibers. Offered in men’s
and women’s version, with coordinating hats and
headbands. Matching baselayers and Knitshell
outerlayers are also available.

Dale of Norway introduces a new super soft
outdoor sweater made of 100% lightweight
wool from Merino lambs with a traditional hand
knit texture. The Ulv is a very comfortable, cozy
sweater that can be worn next to skin. The Merino
yarn is knitted with a new technique using more
air or space between the stiches and features
attractive knitting structures. The Ulv Sweater is
ideal for indoor and outdoor use and is designed
with a 1/4 zip high neck with leather details along
the zipper. The sweater is unisex in fit and is available in three colors: sand, navy, and dark charcoal.
Matching Ulv hat is also available.

Norwegian national park with steep

The all-new Viking Collection, inspired by the Norwegian Alpine Team and Viking folklore, features
sweaters and outerwear garments that are designed to target a younger audience. The Norwegian
Alpine Ski Team, called “Attacking Vikings”, will use the Viking sweater/cardigan as their official
World Championship sweater for the season 2016-2017.
The Viking Collection comes in a rugged black-grey color with subtle Norwegian Viking patterns
and two runic symbols, meaning protection and victory. The concept includes 3 innovative
100% pure wool qualities.

This sporty and versatile round neck top with buttons can be used as a “next to skin” sweater or
baselayer. It is made with a unique 100% ultrasoft
and superfine premium 16,5 micron Merino for
maximum comfort, knitted tightly to avoid showthrough. The design is patterned with the two
runic symbols meaning protection and victory,
on the upper arm in the masculine version and
in flattering side panels in the feminine version.

A true masterpiece of knitwear, made in Norway
by ancestors of the Vikings on the Norwegian
west coast. It is designed with Dale of Norway’s
new super soft wool quality from Merino lamb’s

Dale of Norway has designed official sweaters for every Winter Olympics
and World Championship since the 1956 Cortina Winter Games. Since
1956 Dale has been the official supplier to the Norwegian Ski Association
and later to the International Olympic Committee. Continuing with this tradition and their commitment, Dale of Norway is introducing two key styles to
their collection.

The official sweater for the Biathlon World Championship in Oslo 2016,
but created to be a popular ski sweater in the years to come. A sporty
and comfortable sweater made of 100% skinsoft Merino and with Dale of
Norway’s long-lasting knitting quality. The elegant pattern combines the
traditional eight-pointed rose with two biathletes and fresh contrast colored taping. Available in men’s and women’s versions and with matching hat
and headband. Machine washable.
Behind the name: Skiskytter is the Norwegian word for Biathlon.

The Lilllehammer Sweater, originally introduced at the 1994 Lillehammer
Olympics, has been updated to today’s style, design, and trends and is the
official sweater for the Youth Olympic Games in Lillehammer in 2016. It is
made with an incredibly soft, lightweight 100% Merino wool in a premium
long-lasting knit quality. The fresh, youthful and elegant design combines
a traditional Norse pattern with a contrasting stripe on the shoulder, and
can be worn as a ski sweater or for an evening out. Available in men’s and
women’s versions and with matching hats. Machine washable.
Sporty, yet elegant with Norwegian flag stripes on the front and inside of
neck. A special edition patch on the upper sleeve signifies the Lahti as the
official Norwegian World Championship sweater for the Nordic World
Ski Championships in Lahti, Finland in 2017. The ¼ zip sweater is made
from 100% skinsoft Merino and the white color is stain and dirt resistant.
