Permeable Solutionz Pavers – Base Set-up Guideline

Planning of area and layout
Excavation and preparation of soil base
Construct edge restraints for perimeter of paved area
Lay separation layer of A14 geotech cloth (must have
300mm overlap on all joins)
Spread and compact drainage metal as below (no fines)
Non-Trafficable areas: minimum 100mm of
compacted 7/20 drainage metal
Trafficable areas: minimum of 150mm of compacted
20/40 drainage metal
2nd layer of A14 geotech cloth (must have 300mm
overlap on all joins)
• Place 25mm 3-6mm compacted metal as a bedding
layer (do not use bedding sand)
• Lay pavers butt-jointed, in a stretcher-bond style, i.e.
not stacked
• Pavers to be laid top side up; (the top of the paver has
a rounded edge)
• Pavers may be cut with a diamond bladed wet saw if
necessary
• Compact pavers with a protective mat over vibrator
(e.g. carpet)
