Besides offering the standard fishing comforts, Brett Bieneman, president of Allwater Boatworks, set out to
customize the Allwater 21 to his specifications.
Rear sponsons lengthen the boat to 22 feet, 2 inches and serve as two extra compartments for rigging hydraulic
pumps (instead of in the bilge), and flush-mounting trim tabs. Also, that’s added deck space for anglers. Brett
went “all out” with his rigging, including stainless steel thru-hull fittings and plumbing, six 1,100 gph livewell
pumps and two 1,100 gph bilge pumps.
Around the cockpit, Bieneman increased gunnel width and shifted the console to the side to increase foot space.
The console features a hydraulic-powered electronics station that hides the units in the down position. Forward,
there are two dry storage boxes totaling 420 quarts, plus a 40-gallon livewell and anchor locker. In the rear, there
are two insulated coolers and two livewells (each measuring 30 gallons). Let’s dig into some of the details below.

Wide gunnels provide plenty of walk-around
space. Brett Bieneman purposely widened the gunnels and built the console off-center for increased foot room.

walking, but 11-foot-long rod lockers at both sides of the boat.
Impressive console station with ample room
for rigging big-screen chart plotters and other electronics. The electronics and radio close inside the console
when not in use.
Optional speakers provide entertainment

The console features vertically stacked rod
holders at either side.
Hydraulic mount allows electronics to be
hidden safely inside the console. This feature is common on sportfishers, but is a unique twist to the bay boat
market.

that allow anglers to stock plenty of bait for the trip.

The standard 10-inch jackplate ensures the
engine is always running in clean water.
Brett Bieneman takes off into the morning.
The electronics are flipped open, the seats are out of the way, and Brett’s just about through the idle zone ready
to run.
