bringing you GSW Success Stories, a brand new
event that will showcase of former GSW
participants from all around the world
REALITY
CHECK
If you are a former GSW speaker, panelist or
attendee and if you have been involved in the
funding or leadership of a profitable business
venture and consider yourself to be a successful
entrepreneur or you have been participated in the
funding of an entrepreneurship club, support
organization or business plan competition then tell
us your Success Story
FELLOWSHIPS
Are you a young leader who is passionate about
developing entrepreneurship in your community?
Have you demonstrated potential for large scale
impact? Are you looking to connect with
international community? Apply for a chance to be
an MIT GSW Fellow. Applicants must present a
compelling story of how they plan to contribute to
entrepreneurial development in their region as
well as to the GSW community.
An elevator pitch is a brief overview of an idea
for a product, service, or project that can be
delivered in the space of an elevator ride (say,
thirty seconds or 100-150 words). The goal is
to interest your target enough in your idea
that he or she wants to meet with you again.
Potential investors often judge the quality of
an idea and team on the basis of its elevator
pitch, using them to quickly week out bad
ideas.
ELEVATOR
PITCH TRAININGCOMPETITION
MIT GSW EPC Competition gives innovators
from around the globe the opportunity to hone
their presentation skills, build confidence and
present their ideas in 60 seconds or less to
the entire GSW audience for the opportunity to
win cash prizes.
We will discuss new technological directions, global
market directions and strategic directions for
entrepreneurs, investors,
and supporting
organizations.
Turkey, situated at the crossroads of civilizations
with a vibrant economy, young population and fast
growing consumer market, is poised to be a
regional hub for entrepreneurship and investment.
Istanbul, spanning East and West, is an inspiring
location for this year's MIT GSW.
STARTUP
SHOWCASE
is an exciting new feature for this year's workshop.
Startup Showcase is an opportunity for startups in
all stages, across a wide range of industries, to
showcase their products and services. Don't miss

PROCESS
The mission of the GSW is to foster global entrepreneurial ecosystems, so each
year the conference is centered in a new location, carefully chosen to both bring
new insights to attendees and to benefit from the passion and experiences of the
GSW community. Every year the MIT team works closely with local partner
organizations to tailor content and message to the unique characteristics of that
region. We try to highlight strengths of the country, and to address challenges by
learning and sharing practices from other regions of the world.
The content is balanced between panel discussions, in-depth case studies, and
interactive workshops. Networking is consistently cited by past attendees as one
of the strengths of the conference, so ample time is allowed for informal
discussions and socializing among attendees, and connections are encouraged
even after the conference ends.
We hope that the GSW leaves a lasting impression on the region, and spurs on
new entrepreneurial endeavors in the years to come. We also hope that
attendees will leave inspired, refreshed, and armed with new strategies to tackle
coming challenges in their own regions.
