Every year the MIT team works closely with local partner organizations to tailor content and message to the unique characteristics of that region. We try to highlight strengths of the country, and to address challenges by learning and sharing practices from other regions of the world. The content is balanced between panel discussions, in-depth case studies, and interactive workshops. Networking is consistently cited by past attendees as one of the strengths of the conference, so ample time is allowed for informal discussions and socializing among attendees, and connections are encouraged even after the conference ends. We hope that the GSW leaves a lasting impression on the region, and spurs on new entrepreneurial endeavors in the years to come. We also hope that attendees will leave inspired, refreshed, and armed with new strategies to tackle coming challenges in their own regions.
