Built on the rooftop of The Star with views over Sydney Harbour and the city
skyline, the $100 million Star Event Centre has hosted many exciting and
elaborate A-list events including the AACTA Awards, the X-Factor auditions,
the World War-Z premiere and the ARIA Awards.

The Golden Century Group opened the doors to its newest restaurant at The Star

Showcasing a new interior concept for the venue which has been designed by
Paring Onions based in Hong Kong, The Century’s new look plays with the
symbolisms of Chinese culinary culture with a refreshing and modern twist. The
new name reflects the design concept, and also helps customers differentiate
between other venues in the group.
Among the design features, 15 double glazed aquarium tanks line the entrance,
emphasising the use of the very best, fresh and live seafood, prepared and
served multiple ways by the award winning chefs. The food is matched by their

by The Sydney Morning Herald.

MARQUEE
Internationally acclaimed nightclub operator, Tao Group, brought a monumental
change to Sydney's nightlife landscape with the opening of Marquee in April 2012.
Marquee is located on the entire top tier of The Star's Pirrama Road harbourside
entrance, commanding expansive views of Sydney Harbour and the city skyline.
With nearly 20,000 square feet of floor space, the venue houses three distinct
spaces within the one venue to cater for different tastes and moods.
The Main Room features a 30-foot projection stage with an LED DJ booth and
two dance floors. In contrast, a stylish Library style room offers an intimate lounge
experience, accentuated by a working fireplace.
Venturing further into the venue, club-goers enter the Boombox, with a separate
DJ, state-of-the-art sound system and outdoor patio. There is also a chill-out
area with unparalleled views of the Sydney skyline and a unisex Dressing Room.
Furnished with dynamic and unique interiors, the venue has a retail store and
separate VIP entrance for quick entry from street level.
Internationally acclaimed acts including Calvin Harris, Afrojack, Redfoo, Avicii,
will.i.am, Kascade, Peking Duck, Steve Aoki, Will Sparks, Dash Berlin and Tiesto
have all hit the decks at the nightclub delighting local and visiting clubbers.
Celebrity guests have also been aplenty with local and international stars including
Paris Hilton, Slash, Joe Jonas, Ashlee Simpson, Kellan Lutz, Nick and Vanessa
Lachey, Wilmer Valderrama, Minka Kelly, Isabel Lucas, Abbie Cornish, Jermaine
Dupri and Brody Jennar all choosing to party at Marquee.

floors and converted Cadillac seat booths, plus a juke box and photobooth.
