This was one of the eye-opening statements made by Kiley Morgan, Georgia Department of Public Health’s Worksite Wellness Coordinator. The Department of Public Health is focusing on reaching out and educating businesses and individuals in our region, because it is the most at risk region in the entire state. The newspaper was honored alongside the Atlanta JournalConstitution for their efforts to promote local news and information to the Associated Press. Located on 1645 Old Hawkinsville Road, in Dublin, Georgia, the LCSWMA operates as an Enterprise Fund, therefore, receives no tax dollars for its operation. It is completely funded by tipping fees paid by the customers of the Old Macon Road Landfill and revenue generated from the sale of recyclable materials.
