Implementation Use Attention Call and response --Teacher: “Sage Saves” Students: “Let’s Go To College!” Play a college fight song, and have students march to the meeting area for lesson. Ask students to think of something new that they have learned to do (ride a bike, roller-skate, tie shoes or go on the monkey bars)? Discuss the importance of not giving up and talk about perseverance. Ask students if it was hard to remember to keep trying to learn these things? Share your goal of saving and going to college with parents, family and friends. Another way to be reminded is to write down the goal and the plan, but most important is to put something up, like a pennant! Continue to use the attention call and response Teacher says “Sage Saves” and Student response “Let’s Go To College!” End lesson with marching band music as students move to the next activity.
