Cascade Fire Equipment Company began as a small business selling fire equipment regionally in Southern Oregon. Over 28 years later
the company has grown to be a distributor for some of the leading names in firefighting equipment, and has become an innovative
manufacturer of over 50% of its product line. Operations have expanded to a 20,000 square foot facility.
A fully modern ISO 9001-2008 certified sewing department produces the highest quality STRIKE TEAM® fire gear; NFPA certified
wildland firefighting clothing and gear specifically designed for the demands of wildland firefighters. Qualified engineers design products
which are manufactured with state of the art machinery using only the best raw materials available. The machining department uses
computerized lathes, mills, routers and machining center to produce pumps, slip-on components, drip torches, wye valves, forestry
tools, and many other products developed in response to the needs of its customers.
Cascade Fire Equipment builds custom slip-on firefighting units in a class of their own. From conception to completion each unit is computer
designed and built on-site to customer’s specifications and unique design requirements including compact ATV units, slip-ons easily
installed in the bed of a pickup, and full size units with an assortment of customized equipment boxes and options. By manufacturing
most of the components for their slip-on units, Cascade guarantees the delivery of units that are dependable, versatile, and durable.
Cascade’s slip-on units are used by forestry departments, city fire departments, and private contractors, and are in use in most states
and several foreign countries. They are truly the standard that all other slip-on units are measured by.

Cascade Fire Equipment builds custom slip-on firefighting units in a class of their own. From conception to completion
each unit is computer designed and built on-site to customer’s specifications and unique design requirements including
compact ATV units, slip-ons easily installed in the bed of a pickup, and full size units with an assortment of customized
equipment boxes and options. Upon completion, each Slip-On Firefighting Unit is thoroughly inspected and tested to
make sure the unit you receive delivers the highest performance possible for today’s demanding firefighting.
Cascade manufactures most of the components for their slip-on units and guarantees the delivery of units that are
dependable, versatile, and durable. Cascade’s slip-on units are used by government agencies, forestry departments, city
fire departments, and private contractors, and are in use in most states and several foreign countries. They are truly the
standard that all other slip-on units are measured by.
With a Cascade Fire Equipment Slip-On, your pickup or flat-bed vehicle becomes a fast initial-attack firefighting unit.

STANDARD SLIP-ON FEATURES
end mount style slip-ons
End-Mount Slip-On Units generally have a lower center of gravity than Top-Mount Units. The controls, pump, plumbing and sometimes
reel are mounted on a platform at the rear of the water tank. The tank and rear platform are supported by a frame that is constructed
from a 2” tubular aluminum and welded into a high-strength, non-corrosive unit. The tank platform is covered by a .125” aluminum
diamond plate with a 1” return on top, 3” return on bottom platform, and welded corners.
End-Mounts are great for trucks with utility boxes or flatbeds. We can also build custom boxes to fit your Slip-On package. Detailed
specifications and custom-built units are available upon request. Numerous options are also available, as shown in the table at right.

Top-Mount Slip-Ons incorporate all components on the top of the tank. This configuration takes up less space in the bed, leaving room for
other cargo. Top-Mounts are ideal for a standard pick-up bed and/or low-profile utility boxes with the option of extending components
to the edge of the boxes. The Control Panel can either be on the driver’s side or at the rear.

LIQUID LEVEL GAUGES
Hose Reel options are available, such as aluminum reels. Chrome
Hose Roller Guides speed the handling of the hose and reduce wear
and damage. The rollers can be installed on one or both sides of
the reel in either a High or Low configuration.

HOSE TRAY
The Hose Tray is constructed from heavy aluminum diamond
plate. The hinged top allows for easy loading of the hose, and the
hinged and latched doors on the ends keep your hose and nozzle
inside. A turtle tile base ensures proper ventilation. A rotary joint
enables hose removal from either side, and the full-flow ball valve
controls the water flow. This standard Hose Tray accommodates
200’ of 1½” hose.

FOAM PRO 1601
The CF-130 (Part No. 24192) is a centrifugal pump powered by a
23 hp Briggs & Stratton Vanguard Engine. The engine has a manual
recoil and a 12-volt electric starter.
This FoamPro® leads the industry with proven reliability, and
provides the smoothest proportioning available at low flows for
the best foam generation for slip-on pumper units and smaller
forestry pumpers. This Foam Injection unit provides fully automatic
foam proportioning regardless of changes in flow or pressure,
delivering unmatched accuracy over the entire range of flow. The
unit proportions continuously and has a discharge side injection,
keeping foam out of the fire pump.
Includes a D.C. driven foam pump and Control module with On/Off
control, foam percentage selector, and low concentrate warning
indicator. Installs easily in new or existing apparatus and can be
used with all Class A concentrates. Delivers 0.1 to 1.7 gpm (.38 to
6.4 L/min) of concentrate.

Cascade’s Wildland Monitor was designed specifically for water
tankers and pumpers where discharges of 350 GPM or less is
required. This is an ideal Monitor for discharging water or Class A
foams in wildland firefighting. The unit has a 360° horizontal travel
and 140° of horizontal movement. Locking knobs allow for the
Monitor to be locked in any position. The 1½” waterway is epoxy
coated inside and out for protection from corrosion and wear.
Discharge threads are 1½” NH male thread. The Monitor weighs
only 20 lbs., is 18” high and 11” wide. Includes 1½” Shut-Off Valve
and Stainless Steel Plumbing.

FOAM-FLOTM
The Foam-Flo™ is an inexpensive device for proportioning Class
A Foam into the hose line. This device takes a small amount of
water from the discharge side of the pump and picks up foam
concentrate from the foam supply, then feeds the foam solution
into the suction side of the pump. A selector valve controls the
percentage of foam metered into the pump. The range that can
be selected is from .01% to 1%. The foam concentrate is stored in
a separate compartment in the main Slip-On tank. The standard
foam tank size is 15 gallons with other sizes available.

Cascade’s compact Slip-On Firefighting Units are just what your department needs to convert your lightweight patrol vehicles or ATV units
into fast-attack firefighting instruments. The condensed top-mount design leaves plenty of payload space, and every unit is designed
according to your specifications.

TANK Our polypropylene tanks are fully baffled and meet USDA
specifications No. 5100-343b. Tank specifications on page 9.
METAL MASTERS HOSE REEL Open spoke reels
constructed of welded steel. Proven durability yet light in weight. A
double row of ball bearings give the joint a rated working pressure
of 600 PSI. Fully adjustable brake is anchored to a preloaded
compression spring, which will greatly smooth out the drag when
unreeling hose. Hose reel comes with 200’ of ¾” Booster Hose,
coupled with aluminum reusable couplings.

stage centrifugal pump with lightweight aluminum alloy pump
parts. Pump parts are anodized for corrosion resistance. Pump
is powered by a small and lightweight 6.5hp Briggs and Stratton
engine that meets the current emissions standards of the US EPA.
The pump has a US Forest Service approved spark arrestor, inlet
and outlet protective caps, and a hand primer. Pump is capable of
pumping foam and retardant solutions. More specs on page 14.

PLUMBING All Stainless steel plumbing with 1” full flow piping
and high pressure hoses. An 1” overboard suction port is provided
to allow drafting from auxiliary water sources. Unit also has a
1½” discharge. Each unit has a pressure relief valve for optimum
pressure. An automatic shut-off stops the engine when the water
supply has been exhausted, preventing damage to the pump.

EF-4000 electric mini-REEL This compact “mini” reel
is ideal for use in restricted spaces or on slip-on units. It is wellsuited for use in brush and forest firefighting vehicles. Hose reel
comes with 100’ of ¾” booster hose.

HANNAY ELECTRIC REWIND STEEL BOOSTER REEL
This dependable, rugged reel has set the standard for fire service
reels for more than 50 yeasrs. Inlet is 1” female NPT 90° swivel
joint rated at 1000 PSI. Holds 200 feet of booster hose.
For slip-ons where size allows.
BE PUMP The BE pump has a 6.5HP Vanguard with electric start.
This positive displacement pump is self-priming. The bronze pump
housing has compound celcon impellers and discharges 11gpm AT
50 psi, 9 gpm at 150 psi, and 8 gpm at 200 psi.
FOAM-FLO An inexpensive device for proportioning Class A
Foam into the hose line. The foam concentrate is stored in a
separate compartment in the main Slip-On tank. The standard
foam tank size is 15 gallons with other sizes available.

mini control panel Stainless Steel control panel has
been designed to place the controls in one convenient location for
the operator. Includes a panel light, electric valve for primer, pressure gauge, engine On/Off light and switch, engine starter switch,

All joints and seams are extrusion double welded
and tested for maximum strength and integrity.
Transverse baffle partitions are manufactured of ½” stock
of the same material and extend from the floor of the
tank to the cover to allow for positive welding.
All partitions equipped with vent and air holes to permit
movement of air and water between compartments,
and are designed to provide maximum water flow.
All baffle partitions interlock with one another and are
welded to each other, and to the walls of the tank.
Tank fill connections are backed with flow deflectors to
diffuse the stream entering the tank.
End wall of tank has vertical translucent panel sight gauge.
Tank has a combination vent and manual fill tower
constructed of ½” polypropylene and with a ¼” thick,

WILDLAND MONITOR
Cascade’s Wildland Monitor is designed specifically for water tankers and pumpers where discharges of 350 GPM or
less are required. It is an ideal monitor for discharging water or Class “A” foams in wildland firefighting. The unit has a
3600 horizontal travel and 1400 of vertical movement. Locking knobs give you the flexibility to secure the monitor in any
position. The 1½” waterway is epoxy coated both inside and out to protect from corrosion and wear. The discharge
threads are 1½” NH male thread, which can be used with a variety of nozzles and tips, sold separately. The Monitor
weighs only 20 lbs. and it measures 18” high and 11” wide.The truck-mount style monitor is designed to be bolted
directly to your vehicle body. It is supplied with water through a 1½” hose line. The monitor can be removed from the
base when not in use by means of a solid steel hitch pin and clip.

Foam-Flo™ foam proportioner meters wildland (class A) foam concentrate into hose lines in the desired
percentages. The Foam-Flo™ can treat up to 100 GPM or as low as 5 GPM of water. Foam concentrate can be
metered into the hose lines in various amounts, from .01% to 1%. Easily installed on Slip-On Units, portable
pumps or pumpers. There are three hoses, one is attached to the pump suction, the second hose attaches to
the pump discharge and the third to the foam concentrate. An integrated ball check valve prevents water from
entering the foam supply. All components are anodized aluminum, brass or stainless steel, and the label is a
tough waterproof vinyl. The unit measures 6½” x 3” x 1¼” and weighs 2 lbs. All hoses and fittings included.
NOTE: the Foam-Flo™ is not for use with positive displacement pumps. There are two models:
The 11923A model is made to install on portable
pumps. This model has garden hose fittings on
all three connections. The foam pick up hose is
supplied, the other two hoses are not.
The 11923F model has a garden hose thread on the
foam pick. The other two connections are quick

Phos-Chek WD 881 Class A foam was introduced over 20 years ago and has been widely used by government agencies
around the world who are responsible for municipal, wildland, and industrial fire management. Phos-Chek WD 881
Class A foam concentrates continues to be the product of choice based on unparalleled superior performance.
Tested and approved for use by the U.S. Forest Service. The U.S. Forest Service tests for corrosion properties
along with environmental, safety and health testing. These tests ensure that the product is safe for the personnel
who use it and safe for the environment. Testing also ensures that the product will not deteriorate equipment,
apparatus, or aircraft used to mix or apply the product.
Phos-Chek WD 881 is a UL Listed Wetting Agent, passing the UL test requirements at a very low use rate of 0.1%.
WD 881 is significantly more concentrated than many other products currently available and can be used at much
lower rates. Phos-Chek Class A foam concentrate is specifically formulated

The base has a 1½”NH thread, with two discharge

FIRELINE SPRINKLER
Use the Cascade Fire Line Sprinkler to set up a fast and efficient
water line, keeping the fire where you want it. The Fire Line
Sprinkler uses a Rainbird 35A heavy duty industrial impact sprinkler
head. The standard flow is 7.2 GPM at 50 PSI (5 GPM is also
available). The pattern can be adjusted from 20° to 360° with a
radius of 50’.
The 18” heavy duty ground spike
with foot bar secures the unit firmly
in the ground. The sprinkler head is
42” above ground when the spike is
completely imbedded. A ball shut-off
is incorporated. The valve, sprinkler
head and ¾” GHT female inlet fitting
are brass, all other components are

A valuable tool when using portable pumps that are pumping to
higher elevations. Valve is attached to the discharge of the pump.
When the pump is shut down, a clapper valve closes and holds
the water in the elevated hose line. Bleeder Valve is opened when
pump restarted. Allows pump to be started without back pressure
from the hose line. When the engine reaches full
speed, the bypass valve is closed, allowing all water
to enter the hose line. Constructed from
lightweight aluminum, hard anodized
finish. 6¼” long.
Designed to be placed in a 1½” hose line at various intervals. The 1”
branch can provide water to a hose line, fill back pumps or canteens.

Cascade’s Hose Roller was designed after the popular Western Fire Hose Roller. It is a sturdy, yet
lightweight Hose Roller that has been designed to roll single or double rolls of 1” to 3” hose. It can
also be used to roll 100’ lengths of 1” or 1½” hose into a side-by-side double donut. Whichever length
or size of hose, you can be sure that the rolls will be neat and compact.
Ideally suited for rolling hose at the station or warehouse after hose has been washed. A Quick
Mount Bracket comes standard with the Hose Roller for mounting the roller on a wall or work
bench. It can also be stowed in a compartment and quickly mounted on the vehicle when needed.
There is also an optional trailer hitch bracket for ease of mobility. The Hose Roller has a bronze

Cascade’s Ejector is a valuable tool for obtaining additional
water supplies from sources that would normally be difficult or
impossible to reach. The Ejector will pick up more than twice as
much water as is used to activate them. This allows water to be
obtained from as much as 70 feet below the pumper or from
sources several hundred feet from the pump. Attaching the suction
port on the High Performance Ejector to a Foot valve & Strainer
(sold separately) is recommended to prevent the loss of prime
and keep foreign objects from entering the water supply. Cascade

Equipment design the Shasta Tool. The combination of a 4 tined
rake and a sharp, curved shovel blade make it a highly effective tool
for digging, clearing brush, and building fire lines. Heat treated for
toughness and wear resistance which means extended use and less
maintenance in the field. The Shastina is a smaller, more compact
version of the Shasta Tool with a shorter handle and a smaller

Our versatile Drip Torch is used for firing
semi-dry fuels. It is an ideal tool for
prescribed burning, back firing, roadside
burning, slash and brush disposal. The Torch
incorporates a ball check valve and fuel trap
to prevent flashbacks. Constructed from
15 gauge seamless aluminum with a rugged
forged aluminum bottom to prevent wear and
punctures. The spout is reversible for storage.
A breathing tube with a shut-off prevents
fuel leaks when in the storage mode. Parts are
interchangeable with most other drip torches.

Strike Team® Fire Gear Brush Coats and Brush Pants come in a
high-visibility yellow in your choice of flame resistant Nomex®,
PBI Triguard™, or Tecasafe® Plus. Full-cut to allow freedom of
movement in all aspects. Sewn to high quality standards with tough
KEVLAR® and Tex 80 NOMEX® thread. Classified in accordance with
NPFA 1977 Standard on Protective Clothing and Equipment for
Wildland Fire Fighting, 2011 Edition. Fabric meets flame resistant
requirements of CAL OSHA Title 8 GISO Sections 3406(c)(1) and
3410(d)(1). Optional Scotchlite Trim available on coats and pants.

STRIKE TEAM® Pants are full-cut to allow freedom of movement
and are sewn to Cascade’s highest quality standards. Made of
7.5 oz. NOMEX® in Green or Navy, 7 oz. Tecasafe® Plus in Green
or Navy, and 7 oz. Kevlar®/Advance™ in your choice of Green,
Navy, Khaki, or Yellow. Classified in accordance with NFPA 1977
Standard on Protective Clothing and Equipment for Wildland Fire
Fighting, 2011 Edition (Men’s sizes only), and NFPA 1975, standard
on Station/Work Uniforms for Emergency Services, 2014 edition.
