WE’RE MORE THAN A GYM.
WE’RE A CAUSE.
Scholarship Recipients were asked, “How has the
Kettle Moraine YMCA made an impact on your life?”
“I’m a single mother of 3. The Y has been a positive constant for my
kids and I. It has been a bit of sanctuary where we could get
away from it all and play and relax as a family. I have found
on-site babysitting a lifesaver. I’m able to go workout and relieve
stress and tension that I would not have otherwise been able to
do. My kids love taking the classes you offer and we love going to
family fun nights.”
“If my family no longer received financial assistance, they’d
lose a part of who they are. They are more than members here.
They’re gymnasts, swimmers, runners and happy kids. I couldn’t
imagine taking something so positive out of their lives.”

The Annual Campaign keeps the Y available for kids and
families who need us the most. We count on the generosity

opportunities for future generations to learn, grow and thrive. Here’s
how you can become a Heritage Club member:
•Include the YMCA Endowment Fund as a beneficiary in your will
or living trust.
•Make an outright gift of cash, appreciated securities, property,

Attention Parents
Our goal is to provide a quality program for your child. You can assist
us by doing the following:
• Children must be the correct age of the program on the first day
of class.
• Parents should not stay in “By Myself” classes. Our experience
shows that this is very distracting for children. If your child is
struggling without you, our instructors will let you know.
• Sign up for multiple sessions of the same class because each one
will teach your child something new!
• Look for back to back classes so you can get a longer workout in.
Thank you for your cooperation.

YOUTH IN GOVERNMENT (YIG)
Sponsored by Pat Strachota
Youth in Government is a nation wide program that encourages
lifelong responsible citizenship and gives teens the opportunity
to study the lawmaking process by actively participating in state
government. However, it is much more than just learning about
government. This program builds self-confidence through public
speaking and interacting with peers from across the state and
in some cases, the country. The year culminates with all of the
Wisconsin YIG participants descending upon the State Capital to
present bills, try cases and create lasting friendships. YIG is for teens
in grades 7th-12th.
For more information contact Kirsten Coenen, Program & Membership
Operations Director, at [email protected] or 262-247-1015.
The program starts in September and runs through March.

Adult Locker Room Remodel
April 1 - September 1, 2015
Through the generosity and financial
support of several local donors, we
will begin to remodel the Adult Locker
Rooms on the lower level at our
West Washington Branch beginning
Wednesday, April 1st.
Both the Men’s and
Women’s Locker Rooms will
be closed for the duration
of the remodel. Please be
patient with us as we realize
this closure will put pressure
on the other locker rooms. Remember,
that our River Shores Branch is a close
and convenient option for anyone
over the age of 18. Our third branch,
Feith Family Ozaukee YMCA located in
Port Washington, is another option.
We just completed a Wellness Center
renovation at that location which
includes
brand new
equipment.
Please note: The
drawing represented
is not the final
draft of the project.
However, it will give
you a general idea of
the new layout.
