L’Avenue Condos: Redefining Montreal’s skyline
L’Avenue, with its dramatic NYC-inspired exterior, will be located near the Bell Centre
and consists of a 50-storey building with a residential tower that starts on the 10th floor
and includes 325 condominiums, ranging from one- to three-bedroom units.
Like a steel-and-glass beacon stretching high above the city’s downtown core,
L’Avenue, Montreal’s newest and most
sophisticated condo development, will
set the bar of condo living to the highest
level.
“This is by far the most beautiful residential tower in the city,” said
Anthony Broccolini, managing director
at Broccolini, and responsible for the
L’Avenue development. “Bar none, it is
the most spectacular architecture ever
seen in Montreal. For me, it is a symbol
of Montreal and will redefine the skyline of the city. I am proud of it from a
company standpoint, and also from the
standpoint of being a Montrealer.”
Located on Avenue des Canadiens
against the backdrop of the Bell Centre
and the sizzling vibrancy of downtown
Montreal, the 50-storey, $200-million
project is designed by Page+Steele/IBI
Group Architects.
The structure’s contemporary, sleek
architectural design — in the form of
three sculpted rectilinear elements with
dark and clear-curtain wall glazings —
takes its inspiration from New York Citystyle skyscrapers.
An array of restaurants and shops is
slated for the ground floor and will ramp
up its curb appeal with its fast-pace city
vibe.
“L’Avenue will become an iconic fixture of Montreal’s urban landscape,”
Broccolini predicted.
While the exterior of L’Avenue is
NYC-inspired, the interior, created by
the award-winning interior-design firm
Munge Leung, will reflect a European
flair with contemporary, sleek lines.
The entrance lobby, which will be
located on Drummond St., allows for
a quiet and private access — especially
during event nights at the Bell Centre.
The inspired design will create a lasting
first impression with its towering ceilings, natural stone floors and lounge
area with a vertical gas fireplace.
The residential tower starts on the
10th floor, ensuring a peaceful insulation from Montreal’s busy day and night
life. There are 325 units from which
to choose, ranging from 480 to 1,100
square feet, as well as the possibility
of 4,500 square feet of luxurious pent-
house space. The project’s flexible floor
plans include one-bedroom options,
the perfect pied-à-terre or cozy nest for
the first-time buyer, and two- and threebedroom selections suited for the contemporary family.
All units have nine-foot ceilings and
balconies with glass railings; some will
have their own terraces. The development’s open-concept living spaces
will have engineered hardwood floors
in the living room and kitchen. Custom-designed kitchen cabinets and
engineered stone countertops will give
the suites a cool, urban appeal. The
European-style appliances, which are
included with the suites, will feature
front panels coordinated with the kitchen cabinets. Each suite also includes a
stacked front-load washer and dryer set.
The building will have five levels of
underground parking with 250 spots
available for suites larger than one bedroom.
L’Avenue residents will not only be
able to enjoy the benefits of the condos’
enviable location in the heart of Montreal’s eclectic downtown, they will also
have access to their own New York-style
amenity floor with treatment, steam and
sauna rooms, a state-of-the-art gym, a
conference room, an indoor/outdoor
bar, a theatre room, lounge and party
rooms with a fully equipped kitchen.
Chilly winter days can be spent in and
around the 90x14-foot indoor/outdoor
pool that opens onto a spacious terrace
overlooking Montreal’s breathtaking
skyline.
“Purchasing a unit before construction is advantageous,” Broccolini said,
adding that now is the time to get the
best price and the best selection, since
“we are certainly expecting things to go
fast.”
In fact, since the Preview Opening
began in late October, 50 per cent of the
residences have been sold.
“It’s a great start,” he said, “and there
is still a great selection of suites available.”
There is no time like the present to
take a trip downtown to visit L’Avenue’s
model suite and presentation centre,
located on the corner of Avenue des
Canadiens and de la Montagne.
