Etiquette and Rules
Beagle Club Trails
Dogs
Dogs must be under control at all times.
Unleashed dogs can cause:
-Spooked horses which are
dangerous for the dog, rider and
other users.
-Dangerous encounters with other
dogs and wildlife (e.g., porcupines)
-Disturbance to wildlife and the
ecosystem
-Increased dog poop on trails
Not all forest users are dog lovers. Please
respect others.
Cyclists
-Please call out as early as possible to notify other users
of your presence.
-When meeting horseback riders, please stop immediately and ask the rider how you should proceed. A
spooked horse can be dangerous for you, the rider and
the horse. Often talking to the horse and rider in a gentle
voice and taking off any sunglasses or helmet can help
calm a horse down by letting it know that you are a
person.
Horseback Riders
-Please clean up after your horse in parking and trailhead areas as well as whenever elsepossible.
-Please do not use the Green trail section that uses
Hog’s Back hill. Follow bypass signage.
All Users
-Please respect all other forest users.
-Please do not use the trails when they are wet as it will
damage them.
