Deepest thanks to all of the volunteers and to the committee led by Patty Knight and Fran Stone along with members, Leigh Black, Megan Bolls, Saundra Carriker, Mari Cockerell, CaSaundra Johnson, Erin Moosbrugger, Nancy Roberts and Faye Smith for all the planning hours given for a successful event! er, Peyton Manning addressed the packed crowd in the Exhibit Hall of the Abilene Civic Center. He referred to Peyton as someone who “walks the talk and holds those accountable” as he leads by example. Peyton Manning’s heartfelt comments focused on defining moments of decisionmaking which he applies to his own life. He shared that adversity draws out talents which are otherwise untapped demonstrating that “we all have a spirit of adaptability in our DNA”. He urged the audience to make a commitment to quality to focus and practice the skills needed when the heat is off to achieve the goal and make decisions without vacillating, to believe in the decision without stuttering and to not be afraid to take necessary risks. Employees were recognized for their hard work and dedication on National Provider Appreciation Day. Congratulations to Lori Frank, EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR! 4 5 Day Nursery celebrated children during national "Week of the Young Child" with various fun-filled activities. Children from DNA served milk and cookies to the Mayor and the City Council members during the “Week of the Young Child” proclamation. After a successful 40th anniversary celebration, Day Nursery's President/CEO Cynthia Pearson unwinds with a little down time on the playground at the Vine Street Center. I wish I had words to express my gratitude to you and your staff for the level of care you give my son. Unfortunately all the words I can muster seem inadequate at best. Your care and devotion to what you do changes people’s lives and your passion for children builds the future for all of us. Thank you for all you do! Michelle In his final comments, Peyton Manning challenged the audience of nearly 1100 attendees to “participate in something larger than ourselves and to compete for our own version of the “superbowl” and to develop an arsenal of decision making skills while embracing resilience”.
