This successful sale is the result of generous donations of books and media, and the contributions of time, energy and expertise by library staff and volunteers. Thank you all for your support. Special thanks to Capitol Lunch who brought us some of their famous (and really delicious) hot dogs one afternoon much to the delight of hungry workers. Special thanks also to the CREC Medical Professions and Teachers Preparation Academy Girls Volleyball team and the Middle School Track and Field team who, along with the National Junior Honor Society, their coaches and advisors, helped us set up and take down the sale. The sale does require many hours of hard work, but it is so much fun for us to once again see loyal book lovers who never miss the Friends’ book sales and to meet new book lovers. Save the dates: the Friends’ Fall Sale will be held in October beginning with the Preview on Wednesday October 12 and continuing through to Saturday, October 15. We hope to see you there. Donations of books and media (no VHS tapes please) are accepted year round and can be left on the tables inside the double doors on the parking lot level of the library. Please mark the box or bag “Friends Donation.” Special categories at the Every Day Book Sale for May are Military History and Summer Cooking featuring cook books about grilling and barbeque. The author of the month is Ruth Rendell.
