Running the software
This programme takes advantage of the SVGA capabilities of your system.
In the VGA mode (640 pixels X 480 pixels, 256 colors), the software cannot display the maps properly nor make the streets
blink in the right locations on the screen. Therefore it is highly recommended that your system be configured to run with a
minimum video configuration of 800 X 600 pixels showing 65536 colors (16 bit colors) with small fonts. The programme also
supports a display configuration of up to 1280 X 1024 pixels with 32 bit colors.
To select a city directly on a regional map, hold down the
B
key and click on a city name. If a street map is available for
this city, it will be displayed on the screen.
In order to have the map of a town displayed on the screen each time the programme starts, you must add the city name of
this map into the shortcut programme. To edit the shortcut, locate the icon of the programme on the Windows desktop and
right click on it; click on Properties and click on Shortcut. Type the city name at the end of the target line.
Example: C :\Program files\Que_V3\Cartovis\QUE-V3.EXE GATINEAU
Click on Apply to validate your change, and click on OK.
A shortcut containing the line given in the example above would automatically display the street map of the city of Gatineau
each time the programme starts.
To have a particular marker displayed on a map when the programme starts, type the name of the marker in capital letters
on the command line followed with the symbol $
Example: C :\Program files\Que_V3\Cartovis\QUE-V3.EXE MARKERNAME$
