DAVID HAYWARD EFFECTIVE APRIL 2016 The Association is proud to announce the appointment of David Hayward to the post of Board Chairperson, effective April 2016. David is a personal injury lawyer with the firm Martin & Hillyer, Lakeshore Law Chambers on Old Lakeshore Road. David is a professional colleague of outgoing Chair WASTE COLLECTION WHEELED CART PROGRAM Robert Martin. “I have confidence that he will carry on the Starting April 4, 2016, Halton Region will be rolling out a new Wheeled Cart collection program, free of charge, to Commercial and Business Improvement Areas (BIAs) across Halton. The new program is part of enhanced waste collection services that will help ensure Halton remains a leader in waste diversion, and provide Commercial and BIA partners with more efficient service collection. BENEFITS OF WHEELED CARTS: • improve collection efficiency • increase waste diversion rates • minimize litter and debris • one 360-litre Wheeled Cart for the placement of recyclable material. ADVANCING & PROGRESSING TO ENRICH THE DOWNTOWN EXPERIENCE David is completing his term as Chair of the Downtown Parking Advisory Committee to Council this spring. David will lead an executive team including Vice-Chair Bradley Jenkins (Express Employment Professionals), Treasurer Mark Eade (Eade & Associates), and, PastChair Robert Martin. All members are encouraged to join the Association at our Annual General Meeting on April 6th to meet David and our team. Fitness providers from downtown Burlington will be featured leading classes from boot camp to yoga. These classes are geared to all fitness levels and run from 10am – 11am weekly.
