e.g. during transportation or installation. Even if it is only a small area of
damage, an immediate and professional repair is necessary in order to
prevent it from progressing and to preserve the coating, even within the

Liquid flow additive for the conversion of a water borne
translucent spray product into a brushable maintenance
coating. Only used for the repair of small damaged areas
(spot repair).
Processing: Mix ratio 1:10; addition of the additive for a spray product at
a ratio of 1 part ST 860 to 10 parts opaque/translucent coating. Good mixing
of the mixture. Processing by brushing.
Fields of application: For the repair of small damages to newly final coated
wooden windows, which occurred during transport or installation (not suitable
for renovation of weathered surfaces).

This is how you make proper use of the maintenance products depending on the type of damage:
Condition: small spot damages to the
wooden surface
Condition: small scratches, hailstone
damage or streaks on the wooden
surface
Condition: deep scratches or lacquer
damage upon installation
Measure:
Spot repair: Product ST 860
Mix ratio: 1:10
(ST 860: Industrial initial coating)
Stir mixture well. Lightly abrade the
affected area with the non-woven
web. Then touch up with a brush.
Measure:

2.Paint 1 x with the right top coat
from the maintenance range

2.For soft wood, preserve

Cover correctly!
Please ensure that windows or outer doors are protected against damage or stains during building, cleaning or painting work. The foil and tape with
which frames, sashes and glass are covered and masked must be free of moisture and solvents as well as be UV and weatherproof (our Technology
dept. recommends 3M masking tape 244, Kipp special paper 308, Tesa protective tape 4438 UV). Please never leave the wooden elements masked
or covered for more than two weeks otherwise moisture could build-up in the wood. This could cause damage to the coating.
Safe transportation avoids damage
•Upon the order and packaging of the components with foil, it
must be ensured that sufficient air can circulate between the
components and the foil so that natural drying is not prevented.
•For transportation, the wooden windows must be vertically
mounted on a fixed substrate.
•Sit the windows on joists/palettes and attach them with
wooden strips.
•The wooden components should overlap a little so that the
subsequent foil does not come into contact with the coating.
•The foil (e.g. a PE foil) is spread across the entire window
package and attached to the strips or below to the joist/palette.
•As the windows are in the open for some time before being
unpacked, it must be ensured that no water can penetrate the
package.
•The package must be open at the bottom in order to ensure a
slight air exchange and to allow any penetrated water to drain
away. In any case, this prevents a build-up of moisture from
occurring.
