MENUS
Barolo Catering Policies
Keep in mind that Barolo menus are merely listings of items we
do have done before and do very well. We welcome the
opotunity to customize a menu to your specific needs and
goals. When ordering from our printed menus, we request that
your selections be confirmed no later than fourteen days in
advance of the event. For custom menus, three weeks or more
may be required. To ensure quality, all menu items must be
purchased, prepared and served by Barolo Catering. We cannot
accept donated food products, and due to food handling/safety
concerns, cannot allow left-over food to be taken from the
premises.
FINAL GUARANTEE
A final guarantee must be submitted at least 72 hours prior to
the function date. For events occurring on Mondays or
Tuesdays, please provide this number by 12:00pm the
preceding Thursday. It is the client’s responsibility to furnish
this guarantee. In the absence of a final guarantee, charges
will be based upon the original contracted guest count or actual
number of guests in attendance… whichever is greater. Barolo
Catering allows for a 3% overset. Should your attendance
exceed the overset, a ten (10) percent surcharge will be added
to the base meal price of each additional meal served. While
Barolo Catering will do everything within our means to
accommodate overages, we cannot guarantee that all guests
will receive the same menu and/or place setting.
Dollar amount minimums for events that take place at
MAFIAoZA’S apply. A certain threshold in spending must be
reached for the allocated space or a service charge equal to the
balance will be charged. Minimums vary depending on time of
year, day of week, time of day and length of event. Minimums
are determined on a party by party basis.
PAYMENT
To secure our services, a 50% deposit on an event’s estimated
cost is due within five business days of receipt of a signed
contract. A ‘final’ invoice for payment of the remaining balance
will be provided upon the completion of an event. Final
payment is due at the completion of the event. Acceptable
payment forms include cash, checks and major credit cards.
CANCELLATION
Should you find it necessary to cancel a contracted event
outside of thirty days prior to the event date; a 10%
cancellation penalty based upon the original estimated cost
(20% of your deposit) will apply. For cancellations inside of
thirty days prior to the event date, the entire 50% initial
deposit will be forfeited. Cancellations made on the day of or
before will be charge 75%.
TAXES AND SERVICE CHARGE
Our prices do not include taxes and service charge. Barolo
Catering will assess 9.25% State Sales Tax on all applicable
charges unless valid tax-exempt information is supplied. A 20%
service charge is applied to all food and beverage sales.
RENTALS AND DÉCOR
Our off-site catering menus do not include the cost of standard
event rentals. Your representative will help estimate the costs
of tables, chairs, linens, glassware, china and tableware. We
prefer to handle all the rental needs for the accuracy of the
needed equipment for your special event. Many linen colors
are available at no extra charge from the basic black or white
linen color. Should you desire additional rentals or wish to
upgrade to up-scale linens, china, glassware, etc., your Barolo
catering representative will be happy to handle options and
pricing with you. Rentals will be billed to you through your
event invoice. For an additional fee, Barolo will arrange floral
centerpieces and ice sculptures, as well as many other themed
décor elements.
LABOR
Barolo Catering’s server staffing ratio for seated dinners is
generally 1 server per 12 guests. For buffet settings, the ration
is 1 server per 25 guests. Chefs for carving stations and action
stations are charged at $125 for four hours and $25 per hour
after. Servers are priced at the rate of $100 per server for 4
hours. Each additional hour is charged at $20.00 per hour. The
rate for Bartenders is $125 per server for 4 hours. Each additional hour is charged at $25.00 per hour.
However, should your event exceed the contracted time frame,
or require additional staffing per your request, fees will apply.
Additional labor fees, and a service charge of 23%, will
apply for events scheduled on certain holidays.
These are: Easter Sunday, Independence Day, Thanksgiving
Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New
Year’s Day.
