TOP QUALITY JEWELRY HIGHLIGHT FALL CRAFTS IN NEW PALTZ
It is no surprise to any crafts fair attendee that jewelry takes the gold medal in sales by volume and by the
number of exhibitors at any retail or wholesale venue. Clearly the public demand for this media is unmatched
by any other category.
Said Scott Rubinstein, co-director of QUAIL HOLLOW EVENTS, “The jurying for our shows takes place
in January of every year and it is always expected to produce a great number of applicants in jewelry; far in
excess of the number of artists we could accommodate. It is the only category that we institute rigid quotas as
to the number accepted. We must regretfully turn away many competent and talented jewelry artists. But to
accept more would not be in the shows best interest or insuring the success of those accepted.”
Said co-director Neil, “I never can get over the insatiable appetite so many of our best patrons have for jewelry and it is of course appreciated. To some women, (and also a few men), there is never a time when a new
pair of earrings is not a welcome and needed purchase. I am thankful and truly believe that this appetite may
have morphed into our genetic makeup.”
The fair exhibits approximately 40 jewelers from across America. Their media include precious metals and
gems, acrylics, paper, wood, glass, beaded, and more.
Several of the nation’s finest jewelers reside and work right here in the Hudson Valley and we are proud to

The Fair takes place Saturday, September 1, 10am-6pm, Sunday, September 2, 10am-6pm and Monday,
September 3, 10am-4pm at the Ulster County Fairground, 249 Libertyville Road, New Paltz, NY 12561, NYS
Thruway Exit 18. Admission price is Adults, $8.00, Seniors, $7.00 and Children 12 & under FREE.
