I am the fifth generation Hereford breeder on both sides of my family. As a little girl I was surrounded by Hereford memorabilia and pictures of my mom from her reign as Nebraska Hereford Queen. When I grew older and started showing, I became infatuated with the queens. I eagerly served as a Princess for four years. Now, I strive to be the role model and inspiration for young girls that was there for me as I grew up. I am currently a junior at Rock County High School in Bassett. I plan to attend the University of Nebraska at Lincoln or Kansas State University and major in Animal Science and Agricultural Education/ Communication. If not for the Nebraska Hereford Association, Hereford Women of Nebraska, and Nebraska Junior Hereford Association members-my Hereford family-I would not be where I am today, nor would I have these aspirations for the future. These associations are very near and dear to my heart, and I am extremely excited to represent our wonderful breed! I know that Herefords are, without a doubt, the best breed. Throughout my reign I look forward to not only attending Hereford shows, sales, and other events, but also speaking with commercial cattlemen or people from other breeds about what Herefords have to offer and promoting the beef industry.
