The Confindustria Young Entrepreneurs movement is proud of having started the idea of identifying, searching and connecting several young entrepreneurs’ associations all around the world, bringing them all together for the first time at the first G8 Young Entrepreneurs Summit held in Stresa (Italy 2009). It is also an honor to be amongst the founding members of the G20 Young Entrepreneurs’ Alliance, a fundamental step towards building up a global awareness about youth entrepreneurship. The group seeks to play an active role within the Confindustria System, and as “innovation laboratories” with respect to civil society. The C.Y.E. movement consists of individuals aged between 18 and 40 years, who hold managerial positions within enterprises members of Confindustria. The Movement has greatly expanded over the years and today counts 13.000 members associates, organized across 105 Provinces and in 20 Regional Committees. The main activities of the Young Entrepreneurs Movement include: - encouraging the spread of business culture and the growth of entrepreneurial opportunities within society; - supporting free market and competition, merit and social mobility with a view to furthering Italy’s competitiveness; - enhancing the role of the entrepreneur as an active and responsible player for Italy’s economic, social and civil development. 8 Entrepreneurship, culture and equility Education and coordinated support Y.E. committed to pacefully invade secondary and high schools to promote entrepreneurial culture, improve vocational training and contribute to align programs to newly required skills. Trade and globalization Promote multiple contamination opportunities within EU and globally to favor increased cross-border cooperation amongst young entrepreneurs. Promote indication of origin and values associated to it. Require inclusion of entrepreneurial culture (i.e. risk taking, critical thinking, creativity and problem solving) within Youth Guarantee programs. Italian Action Plan Government regulation and taxation Investment and access to capital To provide to young entrepreneurs advice and networking opportunities to favour business angels, crowdfunding and VCs equity investments. Innovation and Technology Require and contribute to increase R&D expenditures over GDP from 1% to EU average of 2% leveraging on newly introduced incentive schemes.
