Schedule
Elmwood Franklin Summer Camp runs from June 25 through
August 3. Choose a schedule that works best for your family!
Discovery campers can come for one week, six weeks, or
anything in between. OnStage campers can choose any or all
of the three two-week production blocks. Challenge Quest and
Mix & Match campers are offered as two-week sessions, but
individual weeks may also be accommodated.
Camp hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Extended Day options are offered starting at 8 a.m. and/or
until 5:30 p.m., at an additional charge.

A HALF-DAY CAMP DESIGNED
ESPECIALLY FOR THE LITTLE ONES!
Arts and crafts, music and dance, stories, math
and science activities, and outdoor play make
for the perfect introduction to the camp
experience. Each Friday campers bring their
imaginations to life by dressing up as pretty
princesses and perilous pirates!

JOIN IN THE FUN! Our younger campers
WHO’S UP FOR A CHALLENGE? This
enjoy busy days filled with games, science
activities, arts and crafts, drama, and field
trips—all arranged around a weekly theme.
There’s also daily swim instruction given by
Red Cross certified lifeguards. Each Friday
from 9 to 9.30 a.m., parents are invited to
stop in at drop-off to see the Discovery
Gallery and participate in the morning
activities with their child.
unique camp option engages campers in a
range of stimulating, hands-on activities based
around a two-week challenge theme. From
“Rocket Mania,” to “Spore,” to “Robot
Olympics,” kids will have a blast exploring,
creating, and testing their wildest ideas.
Swimming, field trips, “Minute to Win It”
challenges, and the awesome Lego
Mindstorm® robots are also part of the fun.
LET YOUR KIDS ACT UP A LITTLE
THIS SUMMER! This option incorporates
THREE OUT-OF-THE-ORDINARY
OPTIONS FOR CAMPERS EAGER TO
TRY SOMETHING NEW! Each section
all facets of the theater arts—including
spectacular live performances—into a fun and
memorable camp experience. Campers
participate in a host of activities such as
playwriting, choreography, stage combat, set
design, costume design, stage tech, trips to
local theaters, and much more. A new
production starts every two weeks—Oliver,
Once on this Island Jr., and Fame Jr.
runs for two weeks.
Experience China is a unique cultural
immersion program run in partnership with the
University at Buffalo. Campers will discover the
Mandarin language, practice Chinese art
forms, and learn about Chinese culture, from
trying martial arts to playing ping pong to
making Chinese dumplings.
Comedy Camp, run by professional stand-up
comedian Mark Saldanha, is a crash course in
comedy. Kids will write, practice and perform
their own comedic sketches—building
creativity, confidence, and social skills while
having a ton of fun.
Sports Adventure is a sports camp with a
difference! Get active and experience some of
the newest and most exciting sports around.
Campers will try a different sport activity each
day, such as rock-wall climbing, disc golf,
karate, kayaking, “extreme trampoline” at Sky
Zone, and more!
Staff
Experienced, enthusiastic, caring counselors—that’s what
you’ll find at Elmwood Franklin Summer Camp. Head
counselors are certified teachers with a high level of experience
and expertise. All of our staffers develop a strong rapport with
the campers and each other. Our onsite nurse is supported by
counselors trained in First Aid and CPR to ensure the safety of
our campers.
Facilities & Resources
EFS Summer Camp takes full advantage of Elmwood Franklin’s
wonderful campus featuring bright and spacious rooms, a
professional-grade theatre, a full-sized gymnasium, a large
outdoor playground, outdoor playing fields, and more.
We are a technology-rich environment, with abundant
resources available to counselors and campers, including
SmartBoards and iPads.
Open Houses
Two optional New Camper Open House sessions are available
to those who want to learn more about the camp. Visit us on
Saturday, March 17 or Saturday, May 5 from 10 a.m. to noon
to have your child join in some fun, free activities, meet the
counselors, and see what all of the sections of the camp are
about! You do not have to be registered for the camp to
attend. Discounts will be given to those who register for camp
on this day. If you can’t make these dates and would like a
personal tour, please contact the camp.
