Morning pick-up from your hotel in the city, heading
to Kanchanaburi town at the confluence of the
rivers Kwai Noi and Kwai Yai. Stop briefly at the
Thailand– Burma Railway Centre an interactive
museum, information and research facility dedicated
to presenting the history of the Thailand– Burma
Railway. The fully air–conditioned center offers the
visitor an educational and moving experience. Then
visit the War Cemetery and the famous venue of the
World War II Death Railway Bridge, immortalised in
the Hollywood classic, The Bridge Over the River
Kwai. Relax yourself in a long-tail boat through the
unspoiled scenery of jungle and mountain along the
Kwai Noi River. Arrive at the resort to check-in and
lunch upon arrival at the hotel. Afterward continue
the journey by boat to Resotel pier then back on road
to the Hell Fire Pass Memorial, a part of the Death
Railway that needed to cut through the mountain.
Return to resort for refreshing yourself before dinner
and attend a delightful 45-minute traditional Mon
cultural performance. Overnight in Kanchanaburi.
Enjoy a morning tour starting with a visit nearby
ethnic Mon Tribal Village or Elephant ride trekking
the bamboo forest is optional. Return to resort for a
checkout and depart for lunch at the pier. Experience
a one hour train ride on the original Death Railway,
boarding at 1pm, along the River Kwai passing over
the dangerous looking wooden viaduct. Transfer back
from the main boat pier and heading back to Bangkok
on the estimated arrival time by 6pm. Departure
Airport transfer is not included.
