Their primary goals are to reduce the criminal victimization of older citizens and enhance the delivery of law enforcement services to this population.” Among the services offered is File of Life – designed to aid seniors and others in a medical emergency. Many Thanks to the Puglympics Crew: On May 19 from 2 to 5 we were joined by a variety of venders and our Pug Rescue organization – P.U.G.S. (Pugs U Gotta Save). Our Pug people participated in a variety of special Olympic events; including: Curliest Tail, Sheddingist, Most Wrinkled Face, etc. They received their special awards on our Olympic three tiered platform – like all Olympians. We shared our Bark Park with over 100 Pugs and their chauffeurs. Additional visitors were: several Pit Bulls, a couple of Pit mixes, a few Puggles, some Dachshunds, two Chihuahuas, a Poodle mix, some beagles, other hounds, a spaniel and numerous dog folk of undetermined ancestry and several two footed folks from our civic league. PUGLYMPICS: We are grateful to our Torch Bearer, Allyzabethe Ramsey, for organizing the fourth annual Pugapalooza. Toga clad, she lit the faux fire with her faux torch to mark the opening of our Puglympics. Our special thanks to Greg Gruszeczka, Eric Noss, BR Robinson & Carol and Dewey Phelps for setting up all of the areas and making sure we had a portable people throne, fresh water, electricity, tents, chairs, our diving for dogs pools and all of the required elements to make this such a successful event. Thanks, too, Karen and Mika Fox, Gloria Parker and Mary Babcock for peopling the check in tent and offering info to our guests and their drivers.
