CARL ZEISS VISION
Quiksilver and Roxy Eyewear have commenced a partnership with Carl Zeiss
Vision and decided to equip all their frames with this type of lens in order
to offer the finest quality for athletes and customers. This new collection is
fitted with CZV lenses, which offer 100% UV sun protection with as little optic
distortion as possible and optical quality for an uncompromised vision.
The two main lens colors are:
- Grey, which preserves natural colors perception and is relaxing to the eye.
- Brown, which highlights contrasts, thus allowing sharper vision.
Carl Zeiss Vision has been specializing in optics for the past 160 years
and is a worldwide leader in developing and manufacturing ophthalmic
lenses, lens coatings and technologies.
It makes sense for us to partner with CZV since Quiksilver sunglasses main focus
is to offer both full protection and fun. We have a broad range of sunglasses
from kids to adults with anything from colorful to simple designs. CZV helps to
assure us that people wearing the product will have full protection and high
quality vision.
All the sunglasses are supplied with a nice Carl Zeiss leaflet.

Polarized lenses are superior to ordinary tints with benefits that include:

Quiksilver & Roxy’s polarized lenses provide the benefit of filtering out reflected
light and glare off cars, water, pavement, sand and snow. This lens technology
works great for any activity where high glare conditions exist. Only polarized lenses
truly eliminate glare (reflected light).

GLASS
The heaviest material, but also the most scratch resistant, and hardened by
chemicals or heat tempering to meet impact resistance standards. Glass has the
best optical clarity of all the lens materials.

Polycarbonate lenses offer the greatest visual protection for people who go to
extreme, providing excellent visual performance and comfort.
Grey lenses absorb the same amount of light for each wavelenght, which make
them excellent color rendering lenses. Colors are true to life and without
distortion. Grey is ideal for activities such as cycling, jogging, driving, hicking,
as well as for conditions of extreme sunlight.

• Maximum impact resistance: up to 10 times the impact resistance of glass,
ensuring a great protection, especially for outdoor activities. Polycarbonate
is passing High Velocity Impact test, based on American standards ANSI Z87.1
– 2010 which involves shooting a 6.35 mm steel ball at the lens mounted on a
frame at velocities of 45.7 m/s.

• Relaxing and comfortable properties that allow the use of
sunglasses for a long time.
• Colours attenuation as the light arrives to the eye in the
same quantity through all the lens surface.
