Letter from the President
Board of Directors
on behalf of the board of directors, i would like to covey
our sincere thanks to our staff, our volunteers, and our
donors. We have received an abundance of letters,
emails and phone calls from the families that we have
served. i cannot begin to express the difference that
each of you have made in the lives of these children and
families. since our doors opened eight years ago we
have cared for over 3,000 children and 1,500 families all
because you were willing to step up and make a difference, step up and become involved in the mission, of
strengthening families and preventing child abuse and neglect.

A few of this year's highlights...
We welcomed holly Beadle as our new executive director in January. holly has an
extensive and impressive professional and volunteer background. A background
that included being involved in the early stages of development of isabel's house
through the Junior league of springfield. she describes the position as her “dream
job”. And we are very grateful for her enthusiasm and dedication.
highlights of the year also included the formation of our “Junior Board”, a group of
high school age young adults that have chosen to promote the mission of isabel's
house through fundraising and volunteer service. We want to thank each of them
for their contributions.
seventy percent of our operating budget is dependent on fundraising dollars.
every dollar raised impacts the services that we are able to provide. We want to
express our thanks to a small, devoted group of volunteers that created a successful new fundraising event for us this year “the summer party”, which raised
over $60,000, year one.
We also are grateful to the volunteers that faithfully commit to isabel's house on
a weekly basis. Whether they are playing with the children, preparing meals or giving out hugs they our providing positive support to some of our most vulnerable.
We are proud that shelly Collier, one of our long time volunteers, was recognized
for her service this year by receiving the Gift of time Award.
isabel's house was excited to participate in the first Give ozarks campaign, an online day of giving hosted by the Community foundation of the ozarks, raising a
significant amount of funds for operations and endowment. We were also proud
to lead the day in the most individual donor contributions.
the year ended with a significant endowment gift from the
Charles h o'Reilly sr. trust. the o'Reilly family have been
dedicated supporters since the inception. the annual
fundraising events that the family hosts, the individual
contributions, and the endowment giving helps ensure
the future of isabel's house.

Honoring Brooke O’Reilly and Sandy Howard
At the June, 2015 isabel’s house Board of Directors meeting, we were thankful for the chance to honor and celebrate Brooke o’Reilly and sandy howard — both
founding members of isabel’s house, and each serving
10 years on the isabel’s house Board. our leadership
was challenged to reflect on a question: “What do you do
with an idea?”
past Board president Cindy Waites shares about Brooke.
"As president elect of the Junior league of springfield, i
asked Brooke, within weeks to delivering her youngest
child, to lead the task to help bring the vision for what
was to become isabel's house to reality. she accepted
this call without hesitation. Weeks later, with newborn in
tow, several of us began a series of road trips to help with
reaseach, hard work, long hours, and much collaboration
with many individuals, partners, donors and agencies.
While it took many of us to bring isabel's house to reality,
Brooke's leadership was the keystone."
Brooke embraced the idea of isabel’s house with all of
her heart. she served as the first president of the Board,
served a two year term prior to the opening of the house,
served on the finance Committees and fund Development Committee, and chaired numerous fundraising
events. through her business affiliations, she continues
to generously provide opportunity after opportunity to
showcase isabel's house and provide ongoing support,
all year long - from isabel's tree to Grapes at the Garden
— from running half-marathons to opening her home for
the summer party.
sandy howard, who more recently completed an 18month term as president on June 20, 2015, has been in-

spired by the idea of isabel’s house since day one. in her
years of service, she has been instrumental in cultivating
relationships with area legislators, and helped to secure
the largest state contract in our organization’s history —
$306,600! During her term as Board president, isabel’s
house transferred $200,000 into its endowment and successfully added a new, annual fund raising event, the
summer party. But the biggest celebration of all is the
18% increase in the number of children & families served
by isabel’s house while sandy served as president.
As the June Board meeting and our fiscal year came to a
close, and as we looked back on the accomplishments of
these two amazing ladies, we concluded that what you
do with an idea is... you change the world! thank you,
Brooke and sandy, for your unwavering commitment to
isabel’s house.
