Healthcare economy and tourism are the strongest branches
of industry in the region of Freiburg. What could be more effective than a combination of these two domains? This is exactly what the cluster HealthRegion Freiburg does. Financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF),
the innovative capacity and the competitiveness of the region
is being sustainably strengthened in the areas of healthcare
economy and tourism, thus making a decisive contribution to
securing existing health-oriented jobs and creating new ones
jobs. The project is supported by numerous companies and
institutions active in the fields of healthcare economy and
tourism.

Pillars of the Cluster
The cluster initiative HealthRegion Freiburg focuses on three
interlinked target areas:

services, and on a new quality of collaboration among

in the sectors of e-health and telemedicine new ground
