MIA FRANCESCA AND DAVANTI ENOTECA
ARE NOW OPEN!
The Francesca’s family of restaurants is proud to announce
the opening of its first Mia Francesca in San Diego, the
23rd location nationally. Located in the Del Mar Highlands
Town Center, the restaurant brings its famous traditional
regional Italian cuisine to the 150 seat space. Chef and
Restaurateur Scott Harris has opened over 20 Francesca’s
restaurants in the Chicago area since 1992, and is excited
to bring his concept to the west coast. Mia Francesca
features a large covered patio, indoor Roman trattoria style
dining, and a 50 person private dining room. Chef Woody
Benitez will lead the kitchen, providing Mia Francesca
classic fare of earthy family-style cuisine of Rome and the
surrounding areas of Tuscany, Umbria, and Lazio. The wine
list and cocktails are equally impressive in this new, one of
a kind location.
Davanti Enoteca, with its rustic
exposed brick walls, re-purposed farm
wood and communal tables, takes its
cues from the rural cottages of Italy.
It is a lively, casual gathering place, day or night. Diners enjoy the authentic Italian
dishes they would find in the Italian countryside, but with a contemporary, creative
twist. Davanti Enoteca is your neighborhood wine bar featuring modern, yet rustic
Italian fare that can be shared or enjoyed individually. The intimate space boasts an
open kitchen, indoor and outdoor seating and a 12-seat bar. Another bar bellies up to
the kitchen, encouraging interaction between customers and chefs.

OPENING SPRING 2012 - New in all things sweet
and sugary comes Towne Bakery, opening doors at
Del Mar Highlands soon. Jason Sigala is making the
classic 1940’s cool again with vintage get-ups and
pastel colors completing the atmosphere of a truly retro
bakery.
OPENING SUMMER 2012 - They are best known for their selection of fresh olive
oils and balsamic vinegars, however their shelves are brimming with specialty food
items such as honey, jams, spices, rubs, and sweet treats. At baker & olive you are
invited to taste, linger, learn more about food, socialize, meet, or just generally enjoy
all the pleasures life offers.
Grab a bite to eat, sip a latte with friends, or simply sit back and relax
around the outdoor fireplace and listen to smooth jazz on a Spring night.
