The 2010 Chamber Checks expire on December 31, 2010.
Please make sure to spend them so you don’t lose them.
The Monett Chamber office will
be closed on Thursday, December 23rd at noon and all day Friday and the License Office will
be closed Friday and Saturday in
observance of Christmas.
They will return on Monday, December 27th.
Have You Seen Our Tent Cards?
If you live in the Monett, Aurora or Mt Vernon area, you may have seen
our tent cards for the Festival of Lights. If you would like to have a tent
card for your office, they are available at the Monett Chamber.

The Festival of Flavors sponsored by
Verizon Wireless was a big hit. We
had 22 vendors and a great
selection of food. Guests were
greeted by Verizon Wireless
employees and handed goody bags.
Jingle Mingle
The December Jingle Mingle was
Thursday, December 2nd in the
Chamber meeting room. Guests were
greeted and given with Chamber
Blackout cards, an ice breaker to get
guests to mingle. Guests brought toys
to donate to Lynn Thornton, who
distributes toys to children in the
Monett area. The Chamber hosted a
turkey pot luck. Regina Bowsher gave
a Chamber update on activities in December. The next mingle will be in January.

clothes, eat out, or have an electrical issue, you can receive these discounts.
Chamber Advantages are displayed on the Chamber website in the “members
only” section. If you have misplaced your Chamber Advantage tag, please call the
Chamber office to get another one. Support your other Chamber members while
getting discounts on all your Christmas shopping.

Newcomer Welcome
Ag Conference
We have mailed over 140 welcome postcards to new
comers and approximately 50 return them to receive
their welcome bags. We are running out of “stuff” to put
inside these bags. If you would like to add items such as
business cards, informational materials or goodies, please
bring them to the Chamber office. We are getting ready
to mail more postcards and would like to have something
to give those that are new to Monett.
The date for the Ag Conference has been
announced for Thursday, February 24th,
2011 at the National Guard Armory in
Monett.

Best wishes to Sarah Hohensee on her new adventure in
January. She has accepted a new position as office
manager at another company in Monett.
You will be missed.
