Students are welcomed by their
host families at the Vancouver
airport.
Students are instructed to call
their families as soon as they
arrive at the airport.
Transportation is provided to the
airport for all students upon
departure
Accommodation
All host families are carefully
screened by Tamwood in order to
receive our students. All host families
have several years of experience
receiving students.
Host families enjoy sharing their
Canadian culture with all international
students.
All students will have a single or
double bedroom and 3 meals per day.
(Included in camp fee.)
ESL Classes
15 hours of English tuition per week.
All of our English teachers are
University graduates, TEFL certified,
and have experience teaching young
students.
Tamwood offers a variety of levels,
from beginner to advanced.
Our English lessons are designed
for young students, promoting
interaction and cultural awareness.
All Tamwood students receive an
official English Certificate and
graduation ceremony upon
completion.
We have an “English Only” policy in
our classes and activities.
Meals and
Nutrition
Our Host Families offer 3 meals
a day. Students will be given a bag
lunch to take to school.
Tamwood Host Families can can
provide special diets if our
students need them.
Safety
Student safety is a top
priority at Tamwood.
Our Counselor staff have
First Aid Certificates.
The use of safety equipment
is mandatory in some
activities, such as rock
climbing, ice skating and
skiing/snowboarding.
Tamwood Camps offers
Medical Insurance, which is
included in our price.
Students
Every year, Tamwood receives students
from over 60 different countries.
